Is Donald's Safari Breakfast different than the old one at Restarauntosaurus?

We weren't a fan of the character breakfast held at AK at the Restarauntosaurus the last couple times we ate there. The characters were very rushed compared to other character meals & we didn't have great service the last time there. Is the new character meal at Tusker House essentially the same meal just in a different location, or have they changed it up now? Do they still have all 4 characters come over back to back? Do they still seat 3-4 families at a time by herding you into the restaurant?

I'm trying to decide if this new meal is a good option for us with our 15 month old next December - thaniks so much!

We went in November & had a great experience. There was quite a line just to get checked in, but once we got that taken care of we were inside within 10 minutes. We were the only family they took in at that time. Be sure to carefully listen for your name b/c the CM made our name "Livingstone" which added letters & syllables into our real name that don't exist.

Our server was very good & we had plenty of time to get plates for all 4 of us & begin eating before the characters arrived...Daisy, Donald, Goofy & lastly Mickey. Our son was not interested in autographs, but each character stayed long enough for a couple of pictures & a bit of interaction. They were very good with our 2-year old daughter who did not like the characters to touch her, just talk to her. I thought the character interaction was much better than at Crystal Palace, but that is just my opinion.

We ate here in Dec. We saw Mickey, Daisy, Goofy and Minnie. The food at Tusker House was more varied and better than at Restaurantosaurus.

This is one of our favorite character meals. Everyone enjoyed the food items and the character interaction was amazing. We will definitley be dining here on our next trip.

We loved the character interaction at the Safari breakfast, the characters took time with our family and teased my boys. We actually preferred the food at the old Restaurantosaurus though, some of the more "different" offerings were not to my family's liking. It is a shorter walk to the food now, so you are less likely to "miss" any characters going by while you are refilling your plate. But we also found it very very loud in there. Way louder than any other character meal we've done. In short, we enjoyed it, but I'm not sure we'll do it again now that we've done it once.

We went the friday after thanksgiving. good food, good character interaction, donald and daisy were wonderful. We had never been to a character bkfast at AK and we loved it. Would we do it again....the cost of character breakfasts is getting too high for us. Enjoy it...I think you'll like it.

Much better than the old one - thought the old one was horrible, but this new one is great! Food is good, atmosphere is wonderful (we love Tusker House), service is great and character interaction is fab! There is a little parade with African instruments for kids.

Done the old one several times on other past trips, and the new Tusker House once last year on our last trip (Jan 2008)...We thought the new Tusker House one was far better. We loved this meal/experience! We always thought the other one was just ok...and at times a bit disappointing.

We love this breakfast!!!! It was one of our favorites. The characters were a little more rushed, but we still got to get pictures and see each one for a few minutes.

We can't wait to eat there again in March!!
