Hugs Everyone

I am excited to take the love of my lifetime to Disneyworld, where it is his first visit to Disney.

I tried to make the week long April visit, very relaxing, and very romantic.

I don't want to overdue the park days, and I just finished making the restaurant reservations.

The plans include sleeping late, eating breakfast inside the villa, visiting the pool or waterparks, and then heading out to the parks in the afternoon most of the week. I have included romantic locations for dining, such as Mexico in EPCOT, where I hope we get a seat near the edge of the water ride.

I have made so many reservations in the past at Disney, with both straight and gay friends, but never with someone I was romantically in love with !

So now I have the Boardwalk 1 Bedroom Villa Confirmation, Disney Magical Express Reservations , Disney Restaurant Reservations, Air Plane Tickets, and we are like both crazy for the time to pass until we are there.

For Valentines Day I have Disney Dollars, a Classic Mickey Tie, a new large memory card for his camera, and some Chocolates to surprise him with his Valentine Card.

I can't wait to see his eyes when the Magical Express takes him past the Purple Gates of Disneyworld !

I love you Jay !

Go and make some great memories-

YES it is! I've been to Disney with and without my better half and I can tell you that I just do not like there without him. I've always enjoyed it (not a solo traveler - I've been there with friends), but it's just not the same for me. Having my partner there with me just makes it that much sweeter, more romantic and (eegads, I hate using the terms but...) magical.

Yep! Yep! Yep! Having your DP with you makes all the difference. You are going to have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

Golly -- Isn't everything better when you're in love? Have a GREAT time!

Please tell me you have a ressie for California Grill for the fireworks!

(Without sounding too much like the Fairy Godmother)

Oh yes, everything is better when your in love! Expecially Disney World!

Hi Mike

I hope your not disappointed, as I don't have a reservation for the California Grill, the last time I dined there I felt like I was at another corporate work seminar, as everyone was very dressed up.

I was the only one wearing park clothes (cargo shorts, sneakers, and a tshirt) and carrying park souveniers in a Mickey Bag there that day. I am so greatful I didn't wear the mouse ears that day.

Maybe there was a convention going on there that day, should I give it another try ?

So far my reservations are for:

Mexico
Crystal Palace (Love the characters and the food there)
Prime Time Cafe (Mom tells me to get my elbows off the table everytime)
Tusker House (Hope it is like a little Boma's now)
Liberty Tree Tavern (Stuffing, Macaroni and Cheese, and Chip N Dale)
Rose and Crown (Jay likes the English Cider, Great spot for Illuminations)
Spoodles (Part of our resort location)

I also considered Raglan Road, Boma's, LeCellier, O'Hanas, even Tony's Market in the Magic Kingdom.

I used to love to eat at Norway before they turned it into a Princess themed restaurant.

We are planning to make our own breakfast most mornings at the Boardwalk Villas, Jay loves to cook.

I find eating deserts and pastries with coffee at the bakery cafes of EPCOT very romantic.

What are your favorite romantic dining locations ?

Hugs, Phil

For a great park restaurant that has real romance about it, you might want to consider the French joint in Epcot. Someone help me here. I don't mean the place downstairs which is still nice, but the one upstairs. The more hoity toity one that you can still feel totally comfortable wearing shorts, etc...?

Anyone?

I did the same thing for my bf on our trip over Christmas. We took it easy and wanted to enjoy each other's company and the environment. I'll be putting up a trip report by the end of the week, so take a look. I'm sure you can get some great ideas!

Bistro de Paris

It's on my wish list, but we keep deciding to save some money and eat downstairs at Le Chefs de France which we just love.

Philct, I think love makes everything different. You mentioned what you were doing for your boyfriend's Valentine. Just like with Christmas, people know a "duty gift" when they see one. This Disney World trip is clearly one you want him to have and enjoy. That's enough to make it special. If you have ever worked retail and waited on someone buying something for someone he cared nothing about but perhaps wanted to impress anyway, you know what a difference love makes.
