Is Disney working on second Castaway Cay?

News out this morning says Disney is abandoning the Egg Island plan. I wonder if they have a backup plan.

Disney likely has other islands they are looking at.

No doubt there are lots of other islands available in the Bahamas chain. Take a look at the Bahamas on Google Earth sometime.

I think ideally, for a second private/exclusive port, would be something along the lines of what RCCL has. In addition to the Bahamian island (CoCo Cay) they have Labadee on Haiti - which works well geographically as a stop for the western Caribbean itineraries. Also, Carnival has developed a private port on the Dominican Republic. So, for DCL, it doesn't necessarily have to be a tiny remote island in the Bahamas. It can be a section of a larger island, although small island in the Bahamas is still the most likely scenario. From a strictly location perspective, I believe somewhere along the coast of Cuba is probably the most ideal for a ship doing western itineraries. However, we're certainly not to the point yet with Cuba for that.

From what I understand I don't think that is the case.
