Many people have commented on the reduced number of Disney ROFR's.

Others have commented on the declining resale values of contracts.

I have experienced a very quick waving of ROFR by Disney, only 7 or 8 days! They have 30 days and, on the last three contracts I sold, took almost the full time period. Anyone elso notice this difference? :confused3

We submitted two weeks ago. I thought with the holiday and flooding that it might take longer, but we were happy to be aproved.

Sales have slowed so the processing time if faster.

Like, disneynutz said it is significantly impacted by the rate of DVC direct sales. After spring break there was a big slow down of ROFR and ESOPPLE. DVC was overloaded with processing all the sales from Easter break (must be a good sales period).

Our contract was sent to Disney(ROFR) on August 19, 2008
Disney waived right on September 2, 2008

Our ROFR took all of 8 days....submitted 8/22 and passed 8/30.:thumbsup2

I just wanted to point out - it was about the same last year.
In August 2007 I passed ROFR is 8 eight days, several others did too. By mid to late September it started to take much longer again.

FWIW~

It's Day 16 since we sent out our contract for ROFR and we still have not heard anything. I know we could have up to 2 weeks left of waiting, but I emailed Rachel at GMAC yesterday and hopefully she will send me an email today with good news (or an update anyway)! :rolleyes1

With our recent GMAC purchase, 7/27 Submitted for ROFR
8/4 Passed ROFR

Disney got the paperwork on 9/2 and we got word that they waived the ROFR on 9/9. Only 7 days and that included a holiday! We were especially happy because it was a 25 pointer and our broker said Disney will often take those. Not this time. Now, if the rest of the process could only be as fast!

Where did I park that darn time machine? :) I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how you submitted on September 2nd, was notified of passing ROFR on September 9th, but posted this on September 4th?

What am I missing? Are you referring to a 2007 purchase? Or do you mean August (8/2 and 8/9)?

Confused...

P.S. My wife and I are currently on Day 11... our paperwork was submitted by TTS to Disney on 8/26.

Our paperwork was submitted on August 26th by Jaki and ****. We are hoping to hear by the end of next week.

Do they take less time if they exercise ROFR than if they waive it? I noticed on the list of ROFRs some of them were only 3 days after being submitted, but on many approvals they were 8 days for the shorter periods, and up to 2 weeks on many. Just wondering about this!

We are so anxious though, but now that we're back at work we have other things to occupy our time, so it seems to be going fast! (We're both teachers)

The Timeshare Store received my signed paperwork and deposit 10 days ago. I heard today that we just passed ROFR . I was suprised how fast we got our response.

A quick update from me, we passed today! 11 days total, over Labor Day weekend to boot!

Our most recent purchase (last month) got thru ROFR in 11 days, about a week quicker than our purchase about the same time in 2007.
