Is Disney Parks going to make all the shows and parades exclusive to Youtube?

I heard that the main reason why parades and the shows will not return to Disney Parks is because Disney Parks is gonna put the parades and shows on Youtube and make them exclusive to Youtube. It's pretty cool but people who go to Walt Disney World or Disneyland like to see the shows in person and that's what makes the trips special and although watching the parades and fireworks shows is very nice on Youtube I think Disney Parks may somehow bring live shows and parades back to the parks in the future
Has anyone heard about this?

Have not heard this. I would like to see this on Disney+ if they had high quality Disney professional filmed parades like SpectroMagic or a historical compilation to view. Recently they offered nightly showings for resort guests to view Happily Ever After and it was excellent on the tv channel provided in room.
What was your source? DisneyWorld has had excellent guest feedback with the cavalcades and random character appearances.... I am guessing an expensive nightly parade might not ever return . I have not heard any rumors .

My dad told me this since he's a Disney fan and loves the shows and parades at Disneyland and Walt Disney World too. The idea of Disney parades and shows for Youtube would be fantastic to watch. My mom and I also adore watching the Disney parades and shows on Youtube as well and just recently we saw the Magic Happens parade on Youtube and Mom loved it so much

Of course I'll never say never, but I personally doubt it. As much as I think putting certain shows or parades on youtube or on Disney+ can be good for business, putting them exclusively to watch online seems to be pretty bad for business. Putting the videos online is a good way to attract more people to the parks to see the show in real life, but when you take away the bit where you actually get to see and experience it in real life, it might do more harm than good.

I do wonder if they are moving their nighttime shows to be less focused on fireworks and more focused on the projections. If you compare Happily Ever After with the new fireworks show in Shanghai Disney for example, the one in Shanghai Disney is much much more focused on the projections and soundtrack and has very little fireworks compared to HEA. Fireworks are pretty expensive to put on every night. Projections are probably much cheaper overall I think.

I know you are probably correct. I love fireworks. The random burst of fireworks in daytime stage performances is surprisingly effective...
The Friendship Boat Captain in Epcot described seeing one of the barges lit up and said it has many revolving multicolor lights . Looking at the pictures I assumed that would be a big fireworks display but now I am wondering if it will be huge water/ color show with one big finale burst that will be tall enough for the Top of Riviera Resort viewing.

Disney always offered online Live stream from Disney Parks Blog for certain holidays like July 4 and NYE . They have the professional shows that could be edited to create a few replays on the Disney Channel . Most YouTube bloggers online are terrible.... for me to watch.

If anything, they will move away from nighttime shows and/or parades altogether, but then they also won't put them online. Because with no night time shows or parades, there won't be anything (new) to put online. But even that I doubt. But you never know how the minds at Disney Parks HQ work (at least I don't)

Given the very expensive infrastructure sitting in the middle of World Showcase Lagoon, it is extremely doubtful. I'm sure stage shows and fireworks will be returning as park capacity ramps up and COVID concerns lessen.

For us, the biggest thrill of the parade is being there. Not the parade itself.

Well it would not surprise me if DIsney was stupid enough to do this, But they would do it on Disney+ plus otherwise the ad revenue would go to Google. The reason I can see doing this is they need to pay the cast ONCE for a production which can run for years.

As to the hardware in the lagoon - think sunk cost fallacy do ONE performance and scrap the hardware which saves on years of operations and maintenance expense that saving goes straight to bottom line

That said hopefully this is a late april fools prank

Videos would be nice for archival purposes or for reference later. Echoing everyone else's "NO!" though, once we can trust a crowd again they'll see a return.
Not going to happen. Why on earth would Disney do anything on Youtube when they have Disney+ so that's an easy rumor to squash.
This, too. I could see a few parades archived on D+ as part of a Disney Parks Content Initiative (they could do ride POVs too, if they wanted to pull people away from third party Youtube uploads) but making something "Youtube Exclusive" isn't very impressive to the business folk at Disney.

No way. IF (and a big if) they were to do something like this I’d think they put them on Disney+, not you tube. My youngest watches the MK afternoon parade and Happily Ever After literally every day on you tube, because he’s in withdrawal from the real thing since we obviously haven’t been able to do them for a while. Nothing like the real thing!

I think that they may put some parades and shows on Disney+ but not in lieu of running the real things. They would be more like an advertisement to go. I think there may be a couple of htem on there already. The Disney Now app had some too. It would be cool to have an archive of older shows on there.

Same! I generally don't like watching the nighttime shows if there is still a pretty big chance I will watch it one day (I always skip footage of the shows in vlogs), but I do like watching youtube videos of shows and rides that have been discontinued, as I will never get to see them another way anyway. So I would love to have some HQ footage of some of the older shows.

Oh yeah - I avoid spoilers if there is a chance I will see the show live. Once I have seen it though, I will watch, or more likely just listen to the music. I love to listen to the full parade or show soundtracks, though finding high quality for some of them can be difficult - especially older ones.
