Hi, we are booked on the reposition cruise from SD to Vancouver April 2022. We really wanted to visit DL. I'm following this thread because there are none for our cruise it seems. We are booked I'm an inside stateroom Cat 11B on deck 6. Its our first ever cruise! I hope we chose well! We cant afford a verandah, dont expect to spend much time in our room and DSis gets seasick so a porthole is out. I'm liking that the Wonder is older and smaller. I was curious to know if there would be fewer children on an itinerary like this. Mot that I dont enjoy kids- love my nieces and nephews, and great n & n's!
If I booked that cruise, I would assume there would be fewer children on board. Maybe some who live in the San Diego area or Phoenix, since there’s not so much travel to get to the ship - but then they have to get back from Vancouver. I’ve done Transatlantics and the Panama Canal, all with few children (but also 2 weeks).
The beauty of non-summer/-holiday cruises on Disney is that the kids just aren’t the presence that makes them annoying. The dining rooms are loud - but it’s the sound of 400 people + staff, just generalized hubbub.
Apparently, a lot of kids go to their respective club/play area for lots of hours.
(I’m not anti-kid, either, but I don’t want them running halls and screaming.).
I asked my sister if she remembered kids running the hallways on Disney. She said that one time she saw a group of kids doing a scavenger hunt, very well behaved. That’s from a mother who made her own girls behave in public.
There is enough space dedicated to adults that I heartily believe you can have a great time.
As for seasickness - try to find something to take with you. Wrist bands, a scopolamine patch (2 for a 5 day cruise; they are good for about 3 days), bonnie or Dramamine. It took me several years of cruising to handle the ocean motion. But don’t wait until nausea kicks in - do something preventative first. I am a fan of the patch. It leaves you thirsty, but doesn’t have the same sleep-inducing quality of Dramamine. Prescription required for it in the states. And should be available to be dispensed in a small quantity. Each patch is in a sealed pouch.
I have been in an Inside cabin on Deck 6. Worked for me.
After over 100 cruise days, I really only have one that had bad weather. It was in the Mediterranean, which apparently is known for storms. A few hours later, we were in clear seas again. I have very clear memories of that experience - including my teenage niece skipping down the Promenade. And my group sitting at lunch with their heads on the table - except for my niece.

I’m enjoying hearing your plans form as I read various threads. I hope you get to have a great cruise. When we started cruising, it was a 3-night booked a few weeks ahead. No real knowledge of what was in store.
