Is Disney Addictive?

I never knew how addictive it could be. I went for the first time two years ago. DH had never been there either. We thought it would be fun for or DD (3).

No we are addicted. This month will be our 4th trip in two years. We will probably go once year (more if we could afford it).

It is the magic. It is the special way you feel when you are there. It is the special way you are treated. It helps me get away from all of the pressure of the day to day stress.

Yes, it is addictive! We are planning our 18 day trip to Orlando right now. We will spend 15 nights onsite at WDW (Dolphin) and 3 nights at Universal (PBH) We are just as excited as the first trip, many, many years ago! There is always something new to try. My 13 y/o DD is big into the planning this year. I really think that you have to stop and enjoy the planning because it is half the fun. No matter how long your trip is, it will end all to soon. All the more reason to go heavy on the planning!;)

I spend all year planning my Disney vacation, take the vacation and come back to start planning my next vacation (when I can afford it, 2 vacations in one year). All waking hours are dedicated to the Mouse, my other hobbies include, Disney scrapbooking, Disney doll collecting, Disney clothes shopping! I watch all the movies and cartoons, my time spent on the internet is mainly Disney Sites, but I'm not what you would call an addict. I just enjoy everything Disney.

OMG!! :earseek: Its true, ::yes:: its true::yes::,
My name is MSR709 and I AM A DISNEY ADDICT! :wave2: :earsgirl:

My Dad took me to DL twice and WDW once as I was growing up--we both really liked it-- I think the total cleanliness, happiness, service, etc., is what reeled us in. (This was when WDW was just MK and EPCOT)

Then, DH & I went for our honeymoon 7 years ago. He liked it too! (But let me say, he doesn't really "get" the addiction part of it. I think he thinks I'm stark raving mad).

We finally got back to WDW this summer, taking MIL, her husband, BIL and our niece and nephew with us. We told them it was our gift to them, and we really went all out because we said it was a once-in-a lifetime thing. HA! MIL loved it and started in on DH as soon as we got to MCO to go home about how we all should bring "the kids" (read: HER!!) back in a couple years. So, I'm already plotting our return.

If I have to have blood drawn or dental work, I metally take myself back to our balcony at AKL-- it works every time!

It's true-- I'm totally hopeless.:Pinkbounc

Is Disney addictive? My family (extended) thinks we are nuts. We are going in November our third trip in three years. I bought an annual pass this year for the hotel rate and now the DH thinks maybe we should go back next year while our triplets will not yet be nine and can still get the child rate. The magic in the faces of my kids is what makes it addictive. Nowhere else do I see those awed smiles. I get weepy thinking of how fast they grow up and how few times we have the opportunity to see such anticipation. Anyway that's how I think we become addicted.
Most people who haven't been just don't get it. They usually give me their opinion about my problem too.

addictive? Hmmmm. Lets see, the Mouse empty's your wallet, makes you feel good about it and you want to come back for more.

Yep, addictive

Addictive NEVER! We just got back and I'm already planning another trip for May. All I need to do is hear a song, see a commercial, and I'm pulling out the videos and books planning yet another trip. You know I think I should market a pill for this. That way I'd be rich and could pay for unlimited trips WDW!!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper
