Last time we were in the park we went to three character meals -- CRT breakfast, Chef Mickey breakfast, and CP. CP was by far the best.
Now, I wouldn't pass up CRT with my girls (3 - ages 13, 9, 6), but having done it once I really don't have a great desire to go back. It was enjoyable, getting to experience the castle we won't forget, and the characters did make it fun for my ds (who was being a good sport about having to be there with his sis's).
Chef Mickey's was just plain LOUD. The noise level was just unbelievable to me! The food was good. There was a lot of character interaction. I just couldn't get over the amount of noise between the characters and the music and the monorail almost overhead.
Our last day we had lunch at CP before heading to the airport. It was THE best place for our last hurrah. The server was wonderful -- gracious, attentive - this guy got my best tip of the trip. The food was excellent. Everyone from the 6 yo to adult found lots to enjoy. I especially remember a cranberry (I think - I know it was fruit!) chutney that was fabulous! The characters all spent a good amount of time at each table. The rotation of the charcters was well timed so we had time to visit the buffet between characters. All in all it was just great.
This year CP was the only one of the three my kids asked to do again. One big tip -- whoever you want to be in pictures with the characters -- sit across the table from them! And if there are more than two kids, mix up the order in which they sit. I made the mistake of sitting the two youngest next to each other and the characters spent more time with them than with the teens (I have four kids). We mixed it up the next time and I got more picture opportunities with the older kids.
