I think it really depends on how you define "worth it." I don't quite understand the concern than you will spend all of your time running around for ADRs and eating, though. I suppose that if it is of paramount importance to you to spend every waking minute on a ride or at an attraction, then the DxDDp might be too much time, but otherwise, I don't see it.
My husband and I did it for our anniversary trip last year and while we're still not sure we loved everything about it, in the end, it was still probably the best deal for us. We did several days worth of breakfast or lunch and then a late dinner at a signature restaraunt. This worked really well for us, as getting to eat at a lot of those places (Jiko, Flying Fish, and Cali Grille, among them) was a big part of the trip for us. It was great not to worry about what we were spending, especially for my husband who doesn't love spending money, so having it done in advance took a lot of stress out of it. Did we necessarily save a ton? Probably not. We certainly at least broke even, though.
To make the most of it, though, you absolutely need a solid plan and you should want to eat at several signatures. As a counterpoint, on our upcoming trip with our three year old, we know we're going to do a bunch of buffets and counter service, so DxDDp doesn't make much sense. But I could see that it might again in the future! I say, go for it!
