Is Deluxe Worth $150 More Nightly Over Value????

I think it depends if you plan to stay and enjoy your resort, or just use it to sleep. If most of your time is going to be spent at the parks, I'd say don't bother staying at a Deluxe. The Deluxe resorts offer so much more over the values. The pools are more extravagant with slides. There is some type of entertainment. There are boat rentals. More attention to details. I've stayed at most of the deluxes, but my favorite WDW resort is the moderate POR. Handsdown our fav!

For me, a single Mom, I can't afford a Deluxe just yet... but we did move up to Mod and have stayed at the POFQ..... LOVED it and going back again next Easter before our cruise

When I price the Deluxe resorts... I always want the "best" view type... Lagoon, Castle, etc... otherwise, it's just a "room" with more "room" and extra's in the lobby area, etc... isn't it?

When you add on the view or location options... it's very out of my personal range! POFQ is small, convenient to get to any of the parks (never wait more than 10 minutes or so... ) and the added bonus of the boat that takes you to Downtown Disney which opens your dining options~

That's just my .02. Good luck in making your decision!

Spending more time out of the parks would mean staying somewhere other than the values for me. I like having things to look at, good food to eat and places to sit peacefully. And you have a car! So I'd pick a MK resort or an EPCOT resort...but more than likely I'd go with POR/FQ because there is stuff to do and a marina like the deluxes...so you can catch a boat to DTD, go fishing, hang out by the pool, rent bikes...other than the motel-like accomodations it has a lot in common with WL.
