Is CRT dinner worth doing with 2 kids?

We got ADR's for dinner at CRT in Sept. It will end up costing a bit even though we are getting the free DDP, since I have booked lots of other stuff. I think it sounds great but DH isn't convinced. We have a DD(3) and DS(19 months) and I was wondering how they would like it. Is the dinner geared more toward romance? I'm not all into meeting princesses so that doesn't bother me. I guess I just need to know if the food and atmosphere are worth the cost. Thanks.

We just got back and we enjoyed the CRT. I think that it is a must do at least once. My husband and I were very happy with the food. We went at lunchtime. We ate so much that neither us or the kids wanted much for dinner that night. My DS(8) enjoyed being a prince and my DD(5) was thrilled princess. They got a sword and a wand. The picture that we took with Cinderella before the meal was very special. We also had a 4mos. old with us, so it was rare to get a picture of all of us together. They gave us 2 sets of 5x7 pictures. One with the children with Cinderella and one of the whole family with Cinderella. We also got 2 5x7 of the castle. It was a very relaxed meal.

No, the food is not worth the price. If you are not into the princesses, then maybe skip it. Unless your girls are really wanting to go for the princesses. We had lunch their last month, and I was surprised how........I don't even know exatly what to say....not that great the food was.

Now eating in the castle at least once, is a must. If I had my choice again of which meal, I would choose breakfast. That food was pretty good, its not hard cooking breakfast foods. The blueberry pastry was very good.

I guess that we picked a good meal because we ate Salmon and it was delicious. The sauce was great. The appetizer before the meal was good too. I think that it was crab cakes and mushroom ball. We did overhear some other people who complained that the food was too rich. My MIL says the same thing at gourmet restaurants. She isn't into fancy prepared meals, just the basics. So, if you do not like gourmet chef type meals, then you will not like CRT. Of course, the children's meals were chicken fingers, pasta, ect. nothing too fancy. I think that it is all a matter of opinion. We had the salmon, so possibly the other dishes are not so good.

I definately like fancy meals, especially if someone else is cooking. Is the dinner more of a romance thing, or do lots of people take their kids? Thanks.

I would say that it is more for the kids. But I did see several couples without children also.
