Is cosmic rays really that bad?

I have never eaten there before but plan to eat there on our next trip. However i have been reading the "Best/Worst Counter & Table Service in Each Park" thread and many people vote it as their worst MK CS. So what are your experiences? and if you think we should go to another CS instead then which one? (we already plan to go to Pescos bill twice).

My family enjoys Cosmic Rays. In fact, during last trip we ate there twice. They have a good variety and food and different kids meals than the usual PB&J or chicken nuggets. The only bad thing is that you have to wait in different lines for different food. But if each person takes a line, you can still be done quickly.

The food was good enough that we went back a second time. I think most people might have disliked it because of the multiple lines. It's definetly not set up in the most efficient way, and you may have a very big headache if you need to visit several lines, but the food is very good.

but we like simple food, they have more selection then most counter service restaurants, this is good and bad because there is three different lines/sections depending on what you want so it is possible to have to wait in line and pay three differnet times.

The topping bar is good and we love Sunny Eclipse

Just my 2 cents.

PS. My DW loves the wraps there.

I just don't think that the set up is condusive to a family with small children- especially when everyone wants something different. Cosmic Rays is however, the perfect restaurant for a family with older children, or a group of adults. LOTS of food to pick from, and everyone can split up, purchase what they would like, and meet at a table. We've eaten there at least once every trip!

For us, its the best counter service in the MK with the best fixin's bar this side of Pecos Bill's. We usually get a table outside near the waterfall.

We ate there on our last trip & thought it was good. Now this could have been because we are park commandos & had not eaten in over 7 hours, I think it was because I really enjoyed the grilled onions that I put on my burger from the fixins bar. We were traveling with 3 picky kids (only 1 was mine) & they all found somthing that they wanted to eat. For us on this trip it was a real plus for everyone (9 total) to find something they liked at the same restaurant.

Not gourmet food, but I feel sure we will eat here again on our next trip.

The fixin's bar is great (Cheese Fries. Yay!) but at lunch time it's very crowded and you can't even hear Sunny Eclipse.

DH and I eat there on every trip. I think its just fine. We like the variety. One of can get a sandwich or rotisserie chicken while the other can still opt for a burger and fries. I'm fairly picky, so variety is nice. DH just likes it since he's a big kid.

I loved Cosmic Rays as well and am planning on returning next time. If you're on the DDP, you can get the huge chicken and ribs platter with 1 CS credit and share it. In my opinion, MK has the best CS places which may be why Rays was chosen as the worst at MK. I've been to Pinnochio's (sp?) also and enjoyed it. Pecos Bills gets good reviews, too.

I think the food at CR's is pretty good. I do agree that it is a hassle with the crowding of the place. We don't go to CR's at each trip BUT we do go every 2-3 trips.
