Just curious. I did look at the menu, just wondering how the non-seafood items are. thanks!

Wait Maybelle, you are from Boston and do not like seafood????;)

I have not eaten at Coral Reef in years but I do know that people love it. Since I live close to Boston on the Cape, I am very choosey about my seafood.

Hopefully some will answer and let you know about the non-seafood offerings...

The new york strip steak they have is very good. As well as the chicken ceaser salad. For appitizers, the curry cauliflower soup is good but a bit spicy.

They also have a grilled chicken, but i've never tried it and havnt heard from anyone who has had it.

My wife had some kind of grilled chicken last year and said that she liked it although it was not her favorite meal of the week. She like the reef for the atmosphere more than anything.

Actually from RI, but still consider myself within "Rex Sox Nation!!" Yeah Baby!!!

NO!!!! I do not do Seafood, with the exception of fish and chips once in a while on a Friday night. And I grew up with a dad who was a part time fisherman and quahogger. I actually do like a nice filet of sole once in a while, but only if dad catches and cleans it and we eat it that night!!

i feel your pain. i hate seafood and red meat. i'm hoping i can combine the pasta with the chicken. at scifi, they had shrimp & pasta on the menu but when i asked if i could get it without the shrimp, she said they had a chicken & pasta meal instead. so i'll find out in a week or so.

We don't eat seafood either. We went on a tour and it included a look at the Coral Reef before it opened. We loved the look of the place so much and the chance to eat in front of the aquarium. So we checked out the menu.
We got a last minute ADR and ate one of the best meals of our trip. 3 of us had the strip steak and it was cooked perfectly, the cesar salad was very good and of course the deserts were YUMMMM. My DD had the chicken and said it too was good, she has some kind of non fishy soup that she said was very good.
We have ADR's here again for next month.
We had bypassed this resturant for years because we thought it was seafood only, we are very glad we finially tried it.

There is a great chicken plate as well as a tasty steak. Although the seafood is awesome

I went here last Tuesday for dinner and had the steak. It wasn't the best steak I had all week, but it was good. The atmosphere is what I enjoyed the most (and the choclate wave dessert)!

I like their NOnSeafood MUCh better than their Seafood!:thumbsup2 :confused3

I just got back on May 8th, the Coral Reef has a great NY strip steak on the menu there it was great!! I've heard people about the service but I've never had a problem with it. Our waitress Mulan(yes like the movie) was excelent.:surfweb:

Yep, another NE person who just doesn't do seafood!!! However, my dh is very picky about his seafood. We have booked Coral Reef for the first time this August. We're looking forward to trying it out...I'll be doing either chicken or vegetarian. dh will be doing seafood..hope it works out.

I hate seafood also but I thought the huge fish tank would entertain the kiddies ( I was right ;) ) The NY strip Steak was awesome it came with this incredible blue cheese rissotto ~ I still dream about it

We were there a few years ago (inlaws are huge seafood eaters), DH and I ordered the filet mignon and it was awesome, MIL said it was better than her fish!

The steak there is great. Not quite LeCellier great, but still a very good steak.
I too had read some so-so reviews about the food and service. Our food was wonderful and the CM who waited on us was the best waiter we had on the entire trip.

I am not a big seafood fan, but my family is. I had New York strip steak there and it was yummy!

I don't eat seafood either, and the steak was very good. Desserts were great as well, but by far the best thing is the ambience, see for yourself. We had ADR at 830 and were almost the last ones there as you can see. It made for a very peaceful dining event.
