Hi,

We have to turn up early to "Contempory Resort" at MK for a tour, is it easy to find?, we're staying off site and will be driving there.

Yes it is, you follow the signs for the main MK carpark, continue through the carpark gates/turnstiles ( you will have to pay the regular fee, but this may be refunded later with your package). when you pay your carpark fee tell the CM that you have to go to the Contemp to meet for a MK tour, they will tell you to follow a line of some colour I can't remember.

Basically the main MK parking lot traffic go off to the left and you take a right fork, it will be marked resorts, so it's best to pick a gate as far right as you can get. You'll come to a traffic light ( maybe two) GF and The Poly are a left turn you'll be going straight on and the turn into the Contemp is a right turn off that road. There will be a parking attendant at the front gate of the resort. Sometimes you can ( or could) park in this carpark , at other times there is an overflow carpark that is on the other side of the road. The CM will tell you which is better for you.

Follow the signs for Magic Kingdom. As you approach the turnstiles, head to the far right. Tell the booth attendant that you are meeting at the Contemporary for a Magic Kingdom tour and they will wave you through. As you pass through, the road and most of the traffic swings to the left. You need to take the single lane to the right and follow the signs to the Contemporary.

I got sidetracked half way through making my post and I see Vernon has beaten me to it. I've never had to pay a parking fee to visit any MK resort, so I guess you'll have to play that one by ear when you arrive. I've always gone to the penultimate right-hand booth (I think the one to the furthest right is for Disney buses and cast members). That way, you're not going to be cutting across traffic headed for the MK parking lot.

If you're planning to visit the MK later that day anyway, I might park in the main car park and then get the Monorail from the TTC to the contemporary - the monorail stops right inside the hotel! Your car will be waiting for you at the end of the day that way!
