Is confetti safe for scrapbooks? I saw some really cute confetti and was thinking about using it for scrapbooking. The package didn't indicated if it was acid free. It looked like a combination of paper and metallic bits.

I can't answer for sure about the acid free issue, but I do know that I'm going to try to use some confetti I've got for shaker boxes. I'm guessing that if it's kind of sealed up in the shaker package, it shouldn't bother anything else.

Anybody else have any input?

I've used confetti on my pages (and on tags, squares, etc). haven't had any problems with it. I'm not putting it right on top of a picture so... but then again, I am queen of the "dark side scrappers" and really don't care so much about acid and stuff, I just do what I feel like doing. It comes down to whatever you personally feel is safe in your own scrapbooks. And personally, unless it's liquid, highly flamable, combustable (you get the general idea here), I will use it. :) maggie

I resemble that remark!! ;)

I have used some confetti as an embellishment on a mat around a picture and haven't had any problems. But the little buggers are hard to get on there sometimes - I think I should have used my xyron.

If your pages are buffered and you don't touch any pictures with it, you should be ok. Or, you could by buffered pages and matt it or you could put it in a sleeve.

That's my ultra-conservative - stay away from the dark - opinion. :teeth:

(nicurn, please laugh with me!)

not to worry, I will laugh with ya. :) I'm still going to be queen of the dark side scrappers though. :) maggie

(now where are those tag fairies for that title anyhow? it would look great in colour) :)
