is club level worth $100 a night more?

Thank you for the clarification! I have only stayed at the Hard Rock once and couldn't remember! I thought I had watched a YouTube video not too long ago that mentioned the mugs at the hotels, I must have not paid close enough attention!
No worries - I can't remember about the hotels, but I tried to look it up and can't find anything about it. You're bang on about Disney's version though.

I tend to think valid at the parks only is a better deal than valid in the hotels only. Really SeaWorld has the best deal - buy a SW cup, get free refills all day, then on subsequent days it's $1 per refill.

Thought I would add my two cents here on Club lounge worth overall.

I just got back a couple of weeks ago after an 11 night stay at Portofino Bay Resort and my sister was along for the trip. We did stay Club Level and I think it is absolutely worth it.

The breakfast meal does include hot items. It is not just continental breakfast. There is plenty to choose from.

A family of four would definitely get value for your money. When you considered the cost of buying even cereal etc to have in your room and having access to all the water and soft drinks, lemonade etc.

You have breakfast included, afternoon snacks, dinner meal with choice of alcohol in the evening if you want. Desserts served later in the evening. Access to beverages and snacks in afternoon. There is nothing more expensive than the sodas and water in the park. You have access to those beverages all day long.

The food was fantastic, the Club Lounge Staff were absolutely wonderful. The Club Lounge was elegant and very large.

Here were some offerings at breakfast

I don’t want to have to go to the trouble of going to the store and bringing in food to the room. I like having a nice space to go to have breakfast.

We did not eat every meal in the lounge and still got plenty of value for the money.

I think it is up to everyone to decide if Club Lounge is workable in your budget.

If we didn't do early entry we would book club level. But the lounges don't open until 7 and we're out the door by then so we can be at the front of the pack for Hagrid's. If they ever add Hagrid's to Express pass then we would love to stay club level and have more leisurely mornings, but it's simply worth it to walk right on to Hagrids instead of waiting in a 2.5 hour line by showing up 30 minutes later. It works for us to have lunch be our sit-down table service meal to have a nice long midday break out of the crowds and heat.

Thank you for posting this. We are heading there on Sunday this weekend and have a 6 Night stay at Portofino in the Club Level. We stayed there last year also and found the value so worth it, not only because of the food, which was great, I'd say the drinks (water, pop, coffee) were such a money and life saver. Especially coming from the parks to the room. And you can't beat the Express Passes included with the resort.
By chance did you happen to get a picture of the dinner menu for the week? It's pretty similar during the month from what I saw last year, but just thought I'd ask. Thanks! And glad you had a great time!

Thanks for your review, I would never spend $100 a day on breakfast. A box of cereal lasts us 2-3 days and we don't drink soda, just tap water. We are also in the parks from sun up to sun down so it just isn't for us I have realised. Though a great value for anyone at the resort a lot or who likes a big breakfast.
On the odd occasion that we have a soda, I wouldn't walk back to the resort just to get some.

Sorry I did not get a copy of dinner menu. You should receive a welcome email from Greg the Manager of Concierge and Club Lounge a day or two before you arrive. You can send him an email asking for whats on for dinner during the time your there.

No worries. And because I booked through Costco I had to contact them for the weekly menu. Which wasn’t an issue. Thanks for the help.

For anyone wondering, here’s the current menu at Portofino Club level. They sent it to me Saturday evening and said it’s stayed the same for awhile now. And it’s been just as good as it was last time. Well worth it.

this is what I'm thinking. If we were doing some pool days etc it could be worth it, but we are doing that when we are at Surfside, we are only staying at the premier hotel for the EP's so want to get good use out of them.
I have never done CL, mostly because I often travel solo so the upgrade cost for 1 person is too steep, compared to a family of 4. But I think I'd like it more when I have EP. With the Unlimited express if you are in the park early, you can easily do all attractions with no wait, do you plan to re-ride everything 5 times?
If I had club level, I would go to the park, ride everything until late morning, back to the hotel for afternoon pool time, happy hour and then to the parks again to close.
This way you'll stay in the parks when they're less crowded (it's not just lines, less congestion in walkways and shops makes the whole experience better), enjoy the pools at the deluxe while it's blazing hot, make the most of the CL.

spooky - Thanks for posting the menus. The food offerings look great and enough for us to make an evening meal and leave room for a treat while out walking around.

actually, yeah we do usually ride the rides over and over again multiple times a day. Typically we are there from opening to closing and don't leave.
We can't just get to the parks anytime we please, it's over 23 hours away and costs us between $15K and $25K a visit so we need to maximise our park days.
I really hate leaving the parks and going back, I prefer to stay put once there.

No problem. Sorry, haven't had time to come back on here since getting back home. Isn't it just perfect, go on vacation, and everything is great, to get home and end up getting sick then lol. Better than at the parks though
