Is Club 33 that neat?

So how do you get In??

After Walt Disney died in 1966, memberships in Club 33 were made available.
The club has only 487 members. The wait for a membership is up to fourteen years--that's according to a recent story in the Los Angeles Times, which (alas) has been removed from their website. The Times reported that the waiting list closed in April, 2007, and no new names are being accepted.
For those lucky few who do get individual memberships, the cost is a $9,500 initiation fee and $3,175 yearly dues. Corporate memberships are $25,000 initially and almost $6,000 in yearly dues.

It in a nutshell.

So?? Did you get the reservation?

I'm dieing to know what you thought.

I still (5 months later) get goose flesh just thinking about our dinner there.

My daughter, a DIE hard tomboy, wears her Club 33 bracelet when ever she dresses up. its her Price and Joy, over her NintendoDS even (and that saying something)

So how it it you were in DL on its opening Day.... ???

Thanks OP, for asking the question. I have an addition one - hope that's okay. We are booking Club 33 for DH's 30th birthday Aug 5th and I'm trying to decide between lunch and dinner. A friend said he has only had lunch and really enjoyed it but I'm looking for someone who might be able to compare lunch vs dinner. Which one is better? The original plans were to do a character breakfast and a late lunch at the Club but if convinced, we would just make it dinner instead. Opinions?

Lunch/brunch begins with a buffet of salads, cheeses and cold seafood (lobster tail, shrimp and crab claws). There is also a soup of the day. at least that was on Sunday last weekend. You order your entree from a menu and after you have enjoyed the buffet they bring that out to you at the table.
Then after you eat the entree you go back to the dessert buffet.

Our meal was $85 but included a complimentary glass of champagne. With tip and a Bloody Mary I left $135.

On the other hand, dinner is entirely table service. You order salad/appetizer/entree/dessert. I believe there too you have to order a minimum of $85 worth--but you could order four appetizers if you wanted or two entrees. If you order soup/salad/appetizer and then an entree you are definitely approaching the $85.
