Is Chip-n-Dale cookie hut still in Animal Kingdom?

Hi Ya'll!

Husband and I haven't been to WDW since November 1999 and are making a trip back this December.

Back in 1999, our all-time favorite snack was at Animal Kingdom in Camp Minne Mickey and it was this little brown hut looking place and I *think* it was called Chip-n-Dale's Cookies or something like that. We would get freshly baked Toll House Cookie Ice-Cream sandwiches - they were awesome especially since everytime we got them the cookies were warm and they helped to melt the block of vanilla ice-cream.

Does anybody know if this place still exists? We certainly hope so since we tried almost every snack in the rest of the "world" and this was our most favorite (Dole Whip and Beaver Tails a close second).

Do they still have Beaver Tails at the Canada pavilion in Epcot - thought I may have read that they are no longer available - what a shame if that's true.

Thanks for your feedback!

Regards,
Tracey :yay:

Chip 'n' Dale's Cookie Cabin is still in existence in AK, right between the Pocahontas and Lion King shows in Camp Minnie-Mickey.

Unfortunately for you and me both -- it was also my favorite snack ever! -- it has not actually been open for business in several years. My hopes rose when I saw someone say on this board they ate there, so I thought maybe it was open again, but then we were there maybe 2 months ago, and I asked a janitorial CM in that area if he had seen it open lately. He said he had been working that are for 2-3 years and he had never seen it open.

I would jump for joy if it were to re-open. Those ice cream cookie sandwiches were out of this world and I had been there maybe 3 times prior to it closing. I always got the sugar cookie on one side and chocolate chip cookie on the other side, and the cookies were soft, and the ice cream was too, and it was just plain easy to eat -- unlike the sandwiches we've had at Main Street Bakery in MK.

So that's what I know about that. If someone does eat there, in that exact location, please let us know though!

Hi MichellT,

Thanks for the update!

Bummer!!! How disappointing to know that is unused space. Ohhh, and your description of the sugar cookie on one side and chocolate chip on the other sounds great - I never thought to do that....hopefully I'll get a chance to again someday!

My husband is going to be sooo disappointed when I tell him.

Cheers,
Tracey
