Is checking late at Disney hotel a problem

Thinking about driving from airport to MK then not leaving to check in hotel until 10 is that a problem? Do I have to notify hotel we will be checking in late?

Staying at Dolphin/ I think the hotel is sold out for that night because I considered going a day early and res came back "pick another hotel"

I don't know about the dolphin but I have checked in late several times (as late as 1:30am) at the WDW resorts and it has never been a problem. You might want to call the Dolphin and just make sure they are the same way.

Last Nov. we checked in at 10:30pm. We didn't make the ressie till 10:15 pm!!LOL This was at ASSMo. There was alot of other people checking it. We had no problems and had all our requests met. We might have just been lucky because it was only for 1 night and Nov. is off season. I would think you shouldn't have any problems.

We had a pre-paid reservation at the Quality Inn Maingate West the night before we were to check in for a week's stay at POR. We wanted to get the most out of our passes without paying the higher rate. Choice Hotels overbooked and when we arrived at 1:30 a.m., they didn't have a room for us!

We called Disney and they gave us the last room available at POR (a handicapped room). All of the value resorts were booked solid!

Anyway, we checked in at about 2:30. We had to ring the bell for service but it wasn't a problem to check in even that late with a last-minute reservation.

By the way, it's really cool to drive into Disney World with absolutely no one on the roads - truly magical!

We are pre paid first night at the Dolphin- will be checking in I bet by 10 or 11 I might call them and let them know that we are checking in late just to be on safe side. Although it would be nice if they had to upgrade us from standard because all other rooms given out LOL

We've checked in at 1:30 am with no problem, just be prepared that they may not be able to meet your room request.

If you are arriving late make sure it is noted in your reservation.

I don't think it would be a problem but I would definitely have them note it on your reservation.
