Is Character Palooza still going on at HS?

We were there two months ago and it was at 2:40 and 3:35, behind RnRC. But, times will vary based on the number and times of Fantasmic shows that day.

Not sure why you need to subscribe to some website to get this info...these boards are supposed to be about sharing info and helping each other out.

The reason why the schedule for Palooza is not in the Studios park schedule is because the Fant Sets are considered “pop-up” sets. When info regarding the schedule was posted on blogs and message boards, it led to unsafe conditions for the CMs - all of them, characters and those dressed as Attendants, are Fant performers and they are in the show that night.

The crowd-size was dangerous for children. When drunk female guests fought over who would meet the characters, performers in costume ran offstage and families were left to fend for themselves.

That’s why the Fant Sets became unpublished and altered - the performers who are involved never share the info. Any posted schedules are coming from those who don’t perform in the show and who disregard the safety aspect.

Not only disregard for safety, but also to “extort” (for lack of better words) money from people for this information.

When they used to have it on the Streets of America, I could see how CM/character safety was an issue, but how they have it organized now, I don’t think safety is a concern anymore.

Yikes! I think that what also might be helping with keeping crowds down is the lack of rare/special characters (at least from our experiences over the last few years). For us it seemed like up until a few years ago, there would always be a few rare characters, but now it’s just mostly the regulars that you can meet around the Parks any day of the week...maybe we’ve just had bad luck?

I think that the do have less regular characters but typically they may only be one of the 4 out. We met the Evil Queen doing characterpalooza once last year and to the best of my knowledge this is the only way to meet her (since Club Villan is no longer in existence).
