I have never seen either & have not heard anything good about them. What are your thoughts? Worth seeing once or skip them?

I think Ellen is certainly worth seeing once, Love the pre-and post show with Jamie Lee Curtis, and Bill Nye. If you also are in to energy or dinosaurs it is a no brainer. Also, a great comfortable ride out of the heat, and a good place to take a break.

EO is harder for me, We saw it when it first came out, then got to see it with the cast pre-views upon the reopening. It is pretty dated, so unless you are a super Michael Jackson fan, you would probably not be sorry to miss it.

Ellen is worth seeing, dinosaurs are pretty cool. EO is very dated, we went on it during our last trip just to see how bad it was. And it was bad! But if you have never seen it I would give it a try, just don't rush to get there save it for last. Have a great trip.

I don't know about Ellen but I think if you have the time and want a sit down break Captain EO is worth seeing once. If nothing else than to laugh at how we were in the 80's. As a child of the 80's I enjoy this once in a while. Never been at WDW, but at DL it is an easy to get in show and I can't imagine it being packed at WDW but others would know more about that.

Then, after you see that you can go on youtube and watch Captain Eeyore. Hilarious! :rotfl:

Ellen is worth seeing. Capt EO not so much at least in my opinion.

Ellen is dated but is still a nice break. Choose one of the emptier ride vehicles and you'll have a very quiet ride. Your kids will like the dinosaurs.

Captain EO is loud! You are probably too young to know about Michael Jackson's Thriller period, but, seeing EO will give you a look at what he was like during his heyday. And, he looked more "normal" in EO than he did later in life! :)

I've seen Ellen's Energy Adventure once and that was enough for me. I'm taking my 5 y/o in June and I definitely won't be taking her as it is way over her head. :)

My family loves the Ellen ride. Can't say that we all haven't been guilty off getting a quick nap in the airconditioning a few times though. The Captain EO is very dated. I really miss Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

So far there has only been one thing that I regretted going on once -- the Narnia attraction in DHS that is no longer there. That's an hour of my life that I'll never get back and I'm still feeling a little ripped off by it.

I love Captain EO and DH and I are planning to see it again this year. DD not so much -- she'd rather play in the after-ride part of Figment and wait for us there (like she did last year). However, she can't wait to go on Ellen again whereas I'd be comfortable just seeing it every few years (but I'm happy I did go once).

I think that anything that won't scare you or anyone in your group is worth trying once. If nothing else you get a break and know what everyone else is talking about. Who knows, you may be surprised and come across something that you like and might be willing to do again someday.

We find Ellen to be a nice diversion when it is really hot or raining, or the park is really crowded.

Ugh, I LOOOVE Ellen and I hated the ride. Sooooo insanely boring and dated. I wouldn't go again. Unless I needed a nap. And then, only if it was raining.

I've done Ellens Energy ride and the best thing I can say about it is that I rode riding Mission Space Orange after lunch in the September heat and it was the best 40 minute air conditioned nap I took all vacation.

No desire to see MJ's Captain EO, not a fan. I would however do Ellen's ride again. Like I said it's a nice cool place to veg out.

We make it a point to see Ellen's Energy Adventure each trip. The humor is good and the dinosaurs are cool. Plus the engineer in me still enjoys seeing the technology. It's a long ride so we schedule it in the afternoon when we need some down time.

Captain EO can be fun with the right attitude. It's silly and campy and not worth a wait.

I may have seen captain eo as a kid, but don't remember it. If there were literally no wait, I'd pop in, but I wouldn't wait and wouldn't use a fp on it

We got to see Narnia when they had the meet 'n' greet with a hot Prince Caspian at the end. Totally worth the bad attraction!

I saw Captain EO when it was originally out and thought it was awful then. There is no way I would waste my time again.

As far as Ellen, Back in the 80's/ 90's it was a must do for us each trip. But, now there are so many other things that we would rather do. I don't think I've been on it since DS14 was 2. If I had multiple days at Epcot, I'd consider it. But, I don't care if I ever see it again.

IMHO both are worth seeing once if only to form your own opinion. That said, if you have other things you really want to do and it would mean missing them, then go ahead and pass up EEA & Eo.

I'm in the "see every attraction once camp" - we aren't Ellen or EO fans but I'm glad to say we've done them.

See Ellen over EO, for sure. Both are dated, but at Ellen is better by far. Ellen can be a nice break when your feet hurt or a toddler or hubby want to take a little nap (as I have had one of each do).

I'd go and do both just to have experienced them. Just because what seems like the majority of people don't like either attraction doesn't mean you wont (I quite like Stitch when it's regulary slated on here lol)

I like Ellens. It's good for a break from the sun (or rain). I don't think I've ever been bored whilst riding it and I think it has it's charm.

Captain EO on the otherhand.... first time I saw this I told my DH that under no circumstances would I go and see it again. I thought it was awful. Since then DH made me see it again and to be honest, it's better the second time round. I laughed all way through it. I know that's probably not the point of it but hey, at least I got some enjoyment from it.

Go give it a whirl and if you don't like it laugh it off and don't go again. :goodvibes
