I just canceled my ADR for Liberty Tree (already been there) to try Cape May for dinner. We have done breakfast but never dinner and my dh really wanted to try the clambake and since my kids and I rarely let him have him any say in our trip planning :lmao: I thought we would give it a try, but now I am worried about the food :headache: . How is it???

cape may is fantastic...we went there last year, and LOVED it!! hands down, it is way better than LTT...youll love it! :)

I would agree with quietgirl.
They have shrimp, clams, mussels, salads, chicken, ribs, several sides even a kids section with pizza and chicken tenders. Oh and a carving station and a desert area.
When we took my son to Disney for his 8th birthday he got to choose where we ate dinner and he picked Cape May.
Even now at 13 years old it's one of his top 3 places to eat.

We have always loved Cape May dinner, I am not a huge seafood lover but there is a ton for me to eat there. The only off times we experienced is when we go right when they open, the food is cold and dried out.

Love it never had any problems there ad they are quick with refills and to clear away dishes. We hae gone there everyear for the past 6 years. This year of course we are hitting dinner but always trying the breakfast on the day we check in there, can't wait!

Great to hear since my kids and I are not huge seafood fans either!!! Thanks...

We chose to have Thanksgiving dinner there a few years back and loved it -- and we go almost every year when we visit.

Don't forget to leave room for desert! The desert table is terrif!

And: breakfast with Chip and Dale and Goofy (in their bathing suits, of course) is very good, as well.

We love the food at Cape May and eat there just about every trip. Save room for Oreo Bon Bon's. They are fabulous.

Well I WAS feeling better about our ADR there till I read about the cold dried out food when they first open up. Our ressie time is 5:30.
Hope all is well. Big step for us.. kids do not like the seafood and I can take it or leave it.. but wanted to try something new and different. Heard great reviews.

We have always eaten right as the open for dinner and never had cold dried out food, everything is fresh and was just put out. No worries there!

We have dinner there on just about every trip. While I do believe it has suffered since the whole DDP became popular, it is still pretty good. In fairness, I think all of the dining establishments have suffered since the inception of "free" dining and the DDP in general.

We eat there every other trip. It's a lot more than a Clam Bake. Don't worry. I eat the Clams, but my family eats the rest of the menu.

Everything was yummy, and so were the frozen drinks! We met up with another couple who arrived a bit late, but we were seated pretty quickly. I wished there was more/different seafood, like baked clams, but we did enjoy what they had.

I totally agree with you. The food at WDW was much better before the DDP.

We LOVE Cape May :goodvibes. The food is great :thumbsup2. I don't think you will be disappointed (although I can't compare Cape May to LTT as we've never eaten at LTT :confused3). But enjoy Cape May......the buffet is filled with a variety of food for every taste ;).
