Is Busch Gardens basically a 6 Flags?

I agree with some previous posters that if you are not fans of coasters, I wouldn't recommend BG. We went for the first time last fall and I couldn't do the coasters this trip and spent a lot of time sitting and watching my family do coasters. There are some things that you can do, but we were all disappointed in the rest of the park.

I agree. It had wonderful zoo but unless you really like coasters, its a very expensive trip to a zoo.

I don't understand those who think Busch Gardens is mainly for coaster lovers. During my family's last trip to Florida, we spent four days from opening to closing at Busch Gardens. That's about 33+ hours at the park. During those days we rode each of the six coasters once and Gwazi twice. There were no lines, so we usually got on the next available train. With only a few minutes spent on each coaster, we probably used a total of about an hour riding the coasters. That means we had a surplus of 32 hours of fun over four days at Busch Gardens. Believe me, there are plenty of shows, rides, animal habitats, wonderful restaurants, and other things to do besides coasters. Although we like coasters, they aren't the reason we visit Busch Gardens. Everything else the park offers is exactly why so many non-coaster riders love the park.
