OK, with all the redoing of different Hotels, is Boardwalk going to be one of them? I really think it needs a new decor. new beds and pillow, sheets and blankets and curtains. I think it needs a new Dresser and it needs to be bigger. It's time for a change, so does anyone know if Boardwalk is going to get it.

Thanks Maria

There have been reports that rehab work has been started on the hotel side but I haven't read anything about the DVC side. We'll see.

We stayed for just 1 night over Spring Break this past April and they were painting and replacing wallpaper in the halls. I am not sure if it was the whole place or just maybe areas that were a little more worn.

They are constantly doing maintenance. On occation, they will swap a room component (VCRs for DVD players, old sofabeds for new - I'd expect the TVs to get replaced sooner or later - and perhaps when they do the amoire will also be replaced). However, to date none of the DVC rooms have been made over - the furniture, bedspreads, etcs. get replaced, but have a very similar, if not the same, look when they are done. I suspect Disney tries as much as possible to design timelessness into their rooms at the point of initial construction.

Disney has "made over" their resort hotels.

Just this past April, I saw plenty of "painting" from trim work, to walls, to the exterior. Boardwalk itslef was getting new benches, and new staining on existing ones. The place looked great.

I'm glad they're doing some renovations and updates.:thumbsup2

We were there May 2007, we were very disappointed with the condition of the 1 bedroom we had. The bathroom was in bad shape.

We said that we would not be staying there again unless there have been improvements. We really love the location and we usually stay at BCV but would occasionally would love to stay across the lake.
