like see studios are still being refurbished. Are the 1 bedrooms done yet?

From reports I have seen, there is still a substantial ways to go and it is highly unlikely any particular room category is finished except possibly GV's, inscluding because 2BRs are just a combination of studios and 1BRs and also because reports have noted that entire lower floors are not done yet, i.e., they are not working on a type of room schedule but instead on an area of the resort schedule.

We were at BWV last week, and were told that they were 50% done. Seems they are moving much slower than expected.

They aren't refurbishing by villa type, they are working on one hall at a time.

At the elevators on the 2nd floor, they had the whole hallway closed off to the boardwalk view villas. You could not even access the stairs if you needed to.

Uh oh. Hope the 2nd floor BW view hall is done by Oct. 13. We are scheduled to be staying in 2049 (the only HA BW view 1 bedroom).

Also there last week and agree only half way done. Not expected to be done until spring 2016. They were working on the second floor towards the boardwalk view side of the resort. The standard rooms half not been done except the small section on floor 5. The rooms that surround the quiet pool have not even started except the 5th floor.

And yet they did the VWL refurb in 1 month! Of course that shows in quality too but the difference in project time is pretty astounding. I'm glad their taking more time and hopefully doing a much better quality job with BWV but this seems extremely slow.

They just yesterday shut down the entire 4th floor wing to the right of the elevators. There was a pile of old furniture along the canal to Hollywood Studios yesterday too. Not done yet!

Thanks for this, it will be interesting to see when this section of the 4th floor reopens.

We are at BWV now. We are on the Fourth floor. They just opened the other section on the other side of the elevators. We were worried about noise but have had none. The only sign of construction we saw was the closed off hallway that has reopened. It has been much better than I expected.

Thanks for the update. Good to hear you aren't being affected!

What type of room/view do you have?

Great on both counts, you not being affected and the opening of that 4th floor wing. That seems pretty fast to me, just over 2 weeks per floor for the final wing.

We are here and I just walked over to check out the 4th floor standard wing. Even though the door is open, construction workers sent me out. I could see them working on painting doors (on a Sunday, so they are really hurrying to get this done). Since the new hallway carpet is down, I would assume they are doing finishing touches but the rooms will have to be cleaned and stocked. Maybe in a couple of days this wing will be ready.

They started working on the floor in that hallway this morning as we were leaving.

We check in next Sunday (the 25th) for a standard 1 bedroom. I requested higher floor, and I'm hoping for the best. I really don't care if the room is refurbed or not, but it would be horrible to experience the noise that others here experienced.

We're at Boardwalk on the 4th floor and they seem to be moving pretty quickly. I'm impressed by the remodel especially as I'm on the pull out sofa and it's the best I've ever slept on!

I agree! The queen sofa bed in our room is really comfortable and not so clumsy to get out of like the old one. I am having some trouble opening it, however. Because of the new wood-look floor, the whole sofa bed seems to move toward me when I pull to open it.

In the renovated studios, the living area is still carpet (entry & sink area have the faux wood floor). The new TV is huge!
