Gosh I overlooked it at our 180 day mark, figuring we're staying at Beach Club and will just stop in and do an early lunch one day. I figured out our day and decided what the hell, I'll just make the reservation. What a mistake! It's booked! I didn't think it was that popular of a restaurant since it doesn't have fireworks, etc. Is the food that good or something?! I guess I'll have to keep on checking. :(

There are several reports on the DIS Disney Dining Reservations board of B&C ADRs for January not being available or of being available only for dinner. (I've been trying unsuccessfully for lunch on 1/5. Yesterday and just now I tried for a dinner ADR there and was offered 8:50 PM both times.) Speculation is that B&C will return to being walk-up only, at least for lunch, but AFAIK this has not been confirmed by Disney.

Huh that would be awesome if it became walk up! I'm looking for lunch Aug/Sep, so who knows if it will be walk up then - would be super cool tho!

I just want the full kitchen sink. Since they went to 180 day out ADR's, I have not had one. My family use to get it all the time, years ago. We have had the to go Mickey Pants but it just isn't the same. There will be 6 of us going from the 23rd to the 30th of July. I only booked in May. By that time all time slots are filled. I have tried consistently. We have gotten Ohana dinner, Chef Mickey Dinner, 1900 Park Fare dinner, Hollywood &Vine breakfast Disney Jr, Tusker House Breakfast, Cape May breakfast, BoG lunch, Trails End breakfast. We are not on the dining plan. Got all these booked since May. Also had Sci Fi lunch but canceled....just cannot get B&C

Doubt it. They were definitely taking ADRs for 180+10 for all of August through October. They're booked up.

can't get one for Jan. Called in first day.
Guess it will be dinner or nothing. Have a dinner in Nov, so might just skip it this time. We don't eat ice cream anyway

It's average food with above average theming, and a way below average number of tables. We like it, and yes, it can be very hard to get a ressie for it.

Such a shame! Would be a great quick place to grab lunch since we're staying at Beach Club :(

Use Touring Plans Reservation Finder to try to get a ressie.

Also, they have a walk-up service window for ice cream. So you can do that anytime.

We ate there a couple of times years ago when it was walk up, for us it was no big deal. Now we prefer the soda shop at the Dolphin.

I had a late lunch adr for early September but really wanted an earlier time and the reservation finder got the time I wanted pretty quick.

I agree in the statement that B&C isn't necessarily as popular as it seems, and that it's the lack in the number of seats that make it appear more popular. Knowing this I was able to grab a late lunch time for a MVMCP night when we visit in November.

If it ever does turns into a walk-up for lunch I imagine there would still be a healthy wait for a table.

Food is just so-so. Getting the Kitchen Sink is a fun experience though. The kids enjoyed it yesterday (and so did I!)

We've only done the take out window which was nothing spectacular. We have no desire to try the kitchen sink as cake and such in our sundae and a whole can of whipped cream don't appeal to us.

So to answer the OP's question our response would be no. There are better places on site for burgers and ice cream. The Fountain at the Dolphin being one that's within walking distance of the Beach Club.

Just to make sure everybody is aware, the max group size there is four. If you want to make a dinner res for more than that you have to have two or more reservations.

Just booked this for my son's birthday during marathon weekend. Very excited to try the kitchen sink! We've stayed at beach club before but with changing to ADR system here we couldn't just walk up and eat. We got ice cream only that trip.

What better in a sundae than cake?!??!!

I think it is just okay. We went once, found that the food was fine...not great, not bad...., but WOW! it is tight in there.
