The views at BCV are not horrible, it's just that the resort was an after thought and built where the tennis courts and valet parking were located for the Beach Club. Not the best location for great views.
The landscaping is very nice and there are some good views, just not great views.
As a general statement,
DVC is not about great views - there will be some spectaular views at BLT (and you'll pay for them in points), and of course the Savannah views at VAKL, and the Boardwalk view at the BWV. In all cases these are bookable rooms, you know when you book that you are going for view.
SSR has some units that have a nice view of DTD - I've never found that to be worth looking at myself, but there are plenty of people who like that view.
BCV has a few where you can see Epcot, but they aren't really "Epcot Views"
I like looking at the trees at VWL, but they are trees. And there are nice views of the golf course at OKW, but its a golf course.
Almost all resorts have something similar to VWL famed "dumpster view" - a room that faces something where you may choose to keep the drapes closed. The roof is popular. There are a few units at BWV that apparently look into other rooms! Roads and buildings and parking lots are often seen out DVC windows.
If you want to be assured you are looking at something nice, pick a home resort with a bookable view and book early. But view is not important to everyone - other people will value the quality of the pool, the size of the rooms, the location, the theme, the memories they've made there in the past, low dues .....
