Is Baymax going to be sticking around?

We are going to be in Disney the first week in October. Any chance Baymax will be sticking around?

given his popularity it would be foolish to, even if he has to make way for the latest movie characters, although The Incredibles still have a spot in the Animation building. It's a pity there isn't a permanent place for him in Futureworld @ Epcot

We met Hiro and Baymax last month on the Magic of Disney Animation building in Hollywood studios. They're down the stairs in the building. (the Incredibles are upstairs) I hope they stick around but you never know. ????
FYI, Baymax is adorable! And huggable! I hope you get to see him!

Wow, that was sudden! They were still there when we were at Hollywood studios on May 15th. Maybe they're keeping Baymax and making room for the new inside out characters?

Aw this is terrible news. We arrive on July 14th were really hoping to take the class, meet baymax, and meet The Incredibles again. That was our favorite meet last trip :-(

seems strange that they would close something so popular even temporarily , Animation Academy sessions filled up really quickly last month when I was there, and there was rarely less than an hour wait to see Baymax, although I did manage to get my own private session of the Character design attraction with Mushu ( I felt really bad for the cast-member that hosted the session but he was really friendly and seemed really passionate and pointed out a lot of the little details and props on the stage, and seemed happy for the chat and to show off his toys.) I would have thought that any of the expansion plans would be happening over the other side of the park.

Confirmed: Animation Building will close at the end of the day on July 12th. Minnie and Mickey move their meets to outdoor locations.

The first meet for Hiro and Baymax is at 10:30a. Some of your party can go to the Animation drawing class while someone holds the place in line.

My 3 year old granddaughter will be heartbroken. Baymax is her favorite. She has been talking about seeing him in September for months now.

Literally so upset that I won't be able to meet Baymax and Hiro this August. I had such hope for a while.

This whole DHS thing baffles me. Last year, everything was fine. This year: hat taken down, American Idol is closed, Magic of Animation is closed, park supposedly getting a new name, most popular meet and greet is taken away. I don't understand it. I mean, I understand that they're in the process of rehauling the park. I was totally cool with it all until this afternoon when we got confirmation of the BH6 M&G being pulled. What I don't understand is Disney taking everything and not giving something temporary in it's place. What is going to be left for parkgoers after Frozen Summer Fun ends? Heck, what's left for parkgoers even with Frozen Summer fun? Some themed drinks, a parade, some fireworks, a couple of meet and greets and about a dozen attractions including the shows? I'm all for revamping the park, but there's got to be something Disney can provide in the meantime that's really exciting and brings a crowd to DHS.
