Is anyone's Elf arriving tomorrow?

Ours arrived Sunday. lol Dd hasn't had the best attitude, so I brought it out to see if that helped. She is 6 and fascinated with him. It's cute, but sadly, no attitude change....can't expect miracles I suppose.

Mine will be. My kids are 5 and almost 3. We tried it last year but they were just getting the concept of Christmas. This year they get it and I am so excited!

Last year ours arrived the day after Thanksgiving..... but he was running out of ideas/pranks about a week and a half before Christmas Thinking he'll show up around December 1st or so this year....

Jingles comes Friday! Santa already sent his letter letting them know he is coming back and my niece is SO excited.

We get "elves" from Santa that create some mischief around the house, but they're sent to let Santa know if our kids have been naughty or nice.

Ours has already arrived as well! He is even helping my moody 10yr. old dd cheer up a bit! LOL They found him in the computer chair this morning(with phone in hand). Apparently he had been on the phone with Santa discussing their behavior! LOL My kids decided that he was probably tired from being up all night, so they put him on the couch with a pillow and blanket!

I have to find my elf. I bought him last year, but didn't use him. I know he's around here somewhere! I plan to have him arrive on Dec 1 if I can find him! I need a letter, too!

Our Elf has a myspace page and actually has other elf friends that I have met here and our Elf blogs daily to communicate with Santa. Our elf arrives yearly in a box left on our front door. When he arrived originally he arrived with the elf on a shelf book and a note explaining how to check his blog and how excited he was to meet my girls. This year he is arriving in a box with a note and a video.

Our elf arrived on Sunday as well. I was hoping for the attitude adjustment as well, and have been disappointed! Must be 6 year olds! LOL Elroy was watching Santa Buddies with all of DS's stuffed dogs this morning. They even had popcorn. This is our first year doing it....and DS was so excited it was all he could talk about to EVERYONE he saw!!

I want to do this with my grandson but I don't want to pay what they are asking for the book and elf. I have tons of elves since my son who is in the Marines collects elves.
I went to the library hoping they had the book but they dont.
Can anyone either tell me the story that goes along with the elf or if there is a newsletter or something that I can read to explain the elf better.
I did tell my grandson that Santa sends some of his elves to children's houses to watch over them and at night when the children are asleep the elves go back to tell Santa whether they have been good or not. I told him that the elf is a toy during the day but at night he comes to life like the toys in Toy Story. Then when the elf comes back he might not make it to the shelf before morning and he will go back to his "toy state" wherever he happens to be so we might have to hunt for him in the morning.
How close to the story am I?

I got my elf from Elf-Magic and they have some info on their site about the tradition of the elves. Maye you could write your own letter to go with your elf. I have to find my elf, because I think he came with some kind of story, but I can't remember!

Flickers is going to arrive December 1 & bring the advent calendar with her! She came a bit too early last year as well. LOL

She arrives in the "mail" (I put her box wrapped nicely under the mailbox so DD can find the package there when she gets home from school.) w/ a letter & some goodies, like chocolates or stickers.

I got one for my niece and nephew and it will arrive tomorrow. I will have another nephew (20) ring the doorbell and deliver a brown wrapped package posted from the "NorthPole".
