Is Anyone Watching White Lotus?

Watched Season 1 and 2. Wondering if I should watch. Loved Jennifer and she is not in it :(.

Maybe I will give it a shot.....nothing on anyway.

I thought this week was interesting, with tidbits of information adding to each storyline and setting up for some major plot twists.

Spoilers/ Thoughts about the current season:

-Greg/Gary and Belinda. She knows! Will she be compelled to seek out Tanya and then become entangled in Gary’s dark secrets.

-Is Chelsea really that unlucky, and what is going on with Rick? Why would he do that? What will he be doing in Bangkok?

-What will become of the 3 friends, who seem to have a complicated relationship.

-Why is Gaitok being bullied?

-I don’t believe that family flew to Thailand for the daughter’s studies (which seem to require little effort on her part). They are so weird and dysfunctional that I am not so interested in them. Saxon is just plain skeevy.

-Will there be a tsunami? What is with those dreams/videos?

What will he be doing in Bangkok?

Things are not always as they seem in the show, but I would wager that he is going to Bangkok to seek out Sritala's husband. I am guessing her husband is somehow involved in Rick's father's murder. At least those are the clues they are leaving for us. It might be a red herring. I would prefer to see him stay at the hotel and maybe smoke on the boat in front of the Ratliff family. Now that Mr. Ratliff is self-medicating, he might not mind Rick so much.

ETA: Does anyone think either Rick or Greg/Gary robbed the hotel?

I wonder about who robbed the hotel. Definitely seems like an inside job. There were more than one person, Gary seems to work alone. Everyone seemed to get over it very quickly. If I were vacationing at a resort that had an armed robbery while I was there, I would very uneasily to the point where maybe I’d move hotels.

I looked at the description of next week’s episode and it seems we may get more information about Rick’s past.

I almost think that is too obvious. This show is usually much more mysterious, and I think the whole dad murder angle is really being pushed. I could of course, be completely wrong LOL.

I've been considering other possibilities -- the husband is actually his father, or husband was involved with mom becoming an addict.

Sam Rockwell: weird as heck monologue but he knocked it out of the park. He’s an amazing actor. I saw an interview with Walter Goggins where he said they are best friends which made him nervous to film that scene with Sam, didn’t want to let him down. His reactions were just perfect.

She was on fire last night LOL!
Last night was much less boring that last week. I had no idea Sam Rockwell was going to be on, that made me happy :-) Although his conversation was very...odd.
Sam Rockwell always brings something special to everything he does. His matter of fact, straightforward delivery of this catch up with his friend was incredible. I think the audience had zero problem putting themselves in Rick's shoes while listening, because it's clear nobody had that on their bingo card when they started chatting. Early on I thought we were heading for a reveal that he in fact had business ties with Sritala and her husband -- I may have miscalculated with that speculation just a tad. I really enjoyed the fact that Rick clearly was stunned by the revelations, yet didn't merely mouth empty support just because he needed something further from his friend. It was very revealing as to what's underneath the empty husk that Rick holds himself out to be.
