Is anyone watching the live Ustream of the owl box hatchlings?

That was just horrible. I feel sick inside. I know that is the way it is, but I feel sorry for that poor bunny.

I think I just watched that stream for the first and last time.

Yeah....poor little bunny. Then the feed went off. What happened? It's back now. She's picking the bunny clean.

When Molly was gone, I only saw two owlets and no eggs. I did watch Molly today and she would nestle down and be still for a few minutes and then she was up putting the nest in order. She moved fluff around, stacked food and even preened herself. If she sleeps during the day, it must be a bunch of little naps.

It was really creepy earlier today when a tail of one the meals in the corner fell over onto the back and shoulders of an owlet. He was pecking his shoulders. You just see this long rat tail draped over it. And yet, we keep watching. :surfweb:

Where did she go? Is she screaming at someone? I see at least 3 owlets now.

All four owlets are there. Molly ran out and came back with more food. Right after that McGee showed up with more food, too. Whew! I was worried there for a while when Molly rushed out with all of that screeching.

Me, too! I thought she was telling something to get off her porch! The little ones are finding their voices. It will probably get pretty hectic as they grow....chirping, fighting with each other, jostling, playing. Like a human family.

Oh man that was too graphic. I wasnt hoping to see anything like that.

Seeing that after only a minute of first tuning in for the first time was a bit much. I had to shut it down, couldn't watch.

Yes...when it gets graphic it's time to switch over to the live Florida cam and watch the raccoons at night. One night we saw 16 raccoons, 1 possum, 1 hog, and 3 deer all at the same time...really cool!

How cute! I will definitely not watch when they bring back food, *shudders*

Have the remaining egg(s) been abandoned?

Not yet, but people are giving up hope. Egg #5 is a dud and now egg #6 is 2 days past due so that one may be a dud, too. Still, 4 hatches for Molly is great!

Moving on! The owlets are getting so big! Carlos just came on to say that there will be no more hatching and that the little ones will be so much fun to watch as they grow, open their eyes and start learning some survival skills. It's certainly noisier now....:)

Molly & McGee are growing in popularity as much as their little ones. The PIP night cam is cool. We can see what Molly does. I think Carlos said they'd be on CBS Morning show this coming week.

I just wanted to let everyone know that thanks to this thread, I have not got anything done around the house because I have been too busy watching Molly and the babies.. I have MOD!

I am watching them eat the bunny right now......I really can't believe there are 4 owlets! I only see 3.

We are still glued to it daily also. Has anyone linked over to the live Florida webcam from the site also? That one is so active at night. The people come and put out food around 5pm Calif time and then the animals start showing up. As many as 18 raccoons one night, 1 possum, 1 hog, and 3 deers we have seen at one time. We have also seen turkeys during the day and 1 bear. The racoons are really fun to watch.

because they hatch about 2 days apart, the oldest and the youngest are a week apart. so the littlest one still likes to stay warm, so he hides under the others
