Is anyone watching the live Ustream of the owl box hatchlings?

I'm addicted!! The owls names are Molly and McGee. Molly has had 4 owlets so far with one egg still to go. McGee is quite the dude who brings Molly mice and rabbits to eat. Just a bit ago, Molly was no longer sitting on the one last unhatched egg. You could see it next to her outside of the warmth of her body. Maybe it's a dud egg? Now she has it tucked underneath her again. Ahhh, the drama!

I've been watching it. It's fascinating! I have trouble tearing myself away, and I've hardly accomplished anything since I discovered it. I was also hooked on the hummingbird nest cam, but couldn't bring myself to watch that one anymore after a crow stole the eggs yesterday.

McGee is due back any moment with food for Molly. She's calling for him saying, "Hurry up with the grub! I'm hungry!"

That was neat - I haven't seen him before! This feed is completely addictive. I told myself I'd stop watching for the night after he showed up, so I'm making myself shut the computer down now. I swear I could watch all night, though!

That was so awesome! Was it a rat or a gofer he brought her? It was hard to tell -- lots of screeching and then she gobbled it up. What a good daddy McGee is! He's off for more food.

Oh, he just brought her another rat!!!

I wonder when she gets enough sleep. Did that last egg hatch yet? The others are growing so much. The bigger and more active they get, the more interesting this will become.

We looked up videos of past hatchings and others to see McGee.

If they lived in my backyard, they'd get FAT off all the fat squirrels in the natural alley behind the house. We have scores of rabbits, too. We talked about building a box, since we have seen the occasional owl, but mostly the screech kind and I don't know if they would be too much racket.

We looked up videos of past hatchings and others to see McGee.

The 5th egg never hatched, so that one seems to be a dud. The 6th egg's due date is today, so if that's a good egg, it could hatch at any time.

The feeding action seems to get busy around 8:30 PST. Last night McGee came 5 times all within around an hour and a half time span. One mouse that he brought Molly ran away. Molly left the owl box and went after it and brought it back. Last night she started teaching her oldest owlets to tear up the mouse instead of Molly tearing off pieces and feeding them. It's so interesting to see everything unfold.

As the owlets grow, McGee will bring back more and more food each night -- up to a dozen times a night when they get bigger. Lots of mouths to feed.

You should do a box if you have owls in your area! The couple who has the owl cam said they had the box up for 2 years before it got used by Molly & McGee.

I just had to shut it off, McGee returned with a bunny. I know its the circle of life but I can't watch it.

Carlos turned off the camera. He knows kids are watching. That's the first large animal I've seen so far but I know there's been other rabbits. Most have been mice or rats.
