Is anyone planning on taping the Christmas Day Parade?

I was just wondering if anyone is taping it this year on DVD. Last year I purchased one, which was great! I would like to start collecting them each year. I sure hope someone will be doing it again. Thanks!!

I been checking to see if the Orlando TV Market (ABC Channel 9) was going to air the Christmas parade but I only finding normal programming listed and not the Christmas Parade, this is according to my Tivo Listings for Sunday Dec 25.

We tape it every year because I always want to wacth it instaed of open gifts.

Just a normal VHS tape on my VCR. Nothing fancy, but fun to see again and again.

This year we will be at WDW 10 days later so I know the whole family will be very excited.

"Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade" is on ABC at 10am EASTERN (9am CENTRAL). Two hours in length.

TiVo listings are different in all markets, but its listed on mine in the Kansas City, MO area.

It must be "blacked out" in Orlando because it cuts down on the people attending the "live" event at MK.

If you are in the Orlando area and have Brighthouse it will be seen at 5pm on channel 21

Nope, definitely not live. Friends of ours live in Florida and happened to go to MK on the day of the Christmas Parade taping. They said it was pretty cool but it took forever because they would stop the parade and tape certain sequences.

We aren't getting the parade here since Christmas is on Sunday. All the regular church programs will be shown on our local station instead. We have TiVo and the guide only lists the parade as being shown on the ABC satellite feed which we don't get.

We were there the day it was taped... that was Dec 3, 2005. They were announcing it like it was live though.. referring to it being Christmas day of course that may have been to get the crowd excited. I know they taped from 8am-4pm or at least that was the hours main street was locked down to parade activity. Not sure what time it ended for sure. We are definitly going to tape it though as much of it was the MVMCP parade and it will be interesting to see it in the daylight instead of at night though it was beautiful with lights!!!

I am SOOOO not happy about this!! I just checked comcast's programing for myself and its true. Instead Channel 5 in Boston is scheduled to air Patriots All Access. The Patriots aren't even playing that day!

We were at Disney during the taping. So now we have to tape it at 3am Monday morning and watch it some other time. Boy, that sure takes the fun out of it.

I've already sent an email to Channel 5 telling them we are not a happy family. I love the Patriots, but on Christmas Day I want to watch the Disney parade.

Thanks, I just confimed this on the Tivo, but its going to be on Channel 27 which is the over the air channel, also this channel is also on Directv ch 27 from 5 pm to 7 pm, Dec 25.

By the way Ch 27 is owned by the Local ABC channel so I guset that why is going to be on this channel rather than on normal ABC Ch 9 station.

We were there during the taping also.

My local ABC affiliate said that almost 45% of the country would not be getting the parade Christmas morning due to programming conflicts. Our local station will not be airing it at all
