Is anyone NOT doing Adventurers Club???

i don't plan on doing it as of now so i was wondering if there was anyone else not doing adventurers club??? if so do you want to hang out a bit on our own that night??? i think that is the only night i'm going to have the chance to get to bed at a decent time and i really want to.

I'd kind of like to go but it depends on how tired we are. Last year it was after the Thrill Rides tour, and we just ran out of steam. I really would like to go with the group, since it's highly unlikely for us to ever go there by ourselves since we're not drinkers or club goers normally. We'll have to see how we are that day.

Dave's right, Chris. We're not planning on doing the Adventurer's Club and would love to "hang out" a bit with you before turning in for the night. Even if it's just walking back to the busses together!!

I'll see...right now I'm not planning on going Debbie...seriously. It just doesn't do much for me...I've never been but I just don't know if I really want to go and stay out that late also...I KNOW what I'm probably going to be like the two nights before that!!! So I might need some rest that night!!!!

I'll be up at 7:00 A.M. that same day for Brisully's fishing trip.

And a few hours before that around 2:00 A.M., I will have just finished Marsha's Kimono's Karaoke event after DATW.

And and can you believe the night before that I probably won't get back from Jellyrolls until 2:00 A.M., after the opening reception...lol.

I can't wait...I just hope that my right leg can keep up...lol.

Chris - It would be a shame if you don't come to Adventurers especially as you've never been, you may enjoy it, and if you don't then you can go back to the hotel....

The Adventurers Club was one of the highlights of last year's DIScon for me. My wife and I had visited the club back in 1993, but we didn't "get it". I cannot believe that I waited so many years before going back. Even if you don't plan on staying the entire time, it's worth it just to see a couple of the shows. I highly recommend giving AC a try.

Dec99, I can TOTALLY understand you not wanting to go....we will be getting very little sleep indeed!

That said, I am going to go because I am going to focus on those things I normally can't do because I am with DDs (5 and 7) and DH who loves Disney a little less than I do.

That said, if you choose to join us at AC, that would be great, but if you don't I am sure that there will be others that will just want to rest!!!! Either way, you will have a great evening.

Count me in Chris, Im NOT going to this meet, i went to the adventurers club with hubby a couple of years ago and just didnt get it at all. What ever you feel like doing is cool with me.

Chris, if I wasn't going to AC, after the Illuminations Dessert Party, I would take my time and walk over to the EPCOT christmas tree and stand under the lighted archway and listen to the holiday music as the lights blinked in unison. And if the main water fountains were on, I watch them dance, too.

Then on my way back to the International Gateway exit, I would stand near the christmas tree at the lake and and just soak in all the countries and memories of the day.

Then I might take the WDW boat launch and sit in the very back of the open part of the boat for a nice lake ride back to the Dolphin or stop at the Boardwalk for a nice walk.

This is a nice quiet time when most of the crowd has left. And it is so beautiful.

What ever you decide to do, have a wonderful, magical evening.

Sorry to hear that Chris

Like many I had never been so I went just to see what everybody was talking about. Wow it sure was fun with a group of people. Probably quite different from going with just hubby would have been. I am dragging hubby with me this time so he can experience it. I stayed for 2 shows and then bowed out. Needed some rest you know.

What I would suggest is to go for the first show and if you don't get it or aren't having fun then go on your way. We had people popping in and dropping out of groups all during DISCON.

That being said: Only you know when you are about to drop. Don't push it. Take your time and do what feels best for you. That need for rest is one reason we saved for this big trip all year. One week before to rest up for DISCON and one week after to recover.

What ever you decide I am sure there will be others you feel the same and you won't be alone unless you want to be.
