Is anyone having trouble scrolling in certain forums?

Tried getting help in the Tech Support forum a few weeks ago but none was offered. This is giving me a ! The scrolling in certain forums, like the Attractions/Strategies forum (etc.) for instance, is slow and jerky. There are 2 other computers in the house and they don't do it. Just my laptop. Anyone have advice or a suggestion I could try?

Have you shut down? When this happens to me I have to just close everything and shut down my laptop and then restart. That usually clears it right up.

I shut down every day. This doesn't change a thing. It's just so weird because it's only certain forums on the DIS. I haven't experienced it anywhere else online. It's so bad that I would just prefer to avoid the forums this is happening in.

It happens to me too. I think it might be the smilies, but I'm not sure.

I havent been having trouble scrolling - but I have had a lot of firefox issues and the DIS.

Currently trying to work them out, before just giving up and uninstalling and reinstalling.......

I'm using Firefox too. But, then again, so are the other 2 computers I mentioned above and they work fine.

It was happening to me, and I am 99.9999% sure it was one of the ads that appear at the top or bottom of the page. No idea why! For me, it was always one of the Chase Rewards ones. At work on a different computer, I had no problems scrolling. I haven't had a problem scrolling in a couple of weeks, since I haven't seen that particular ad. The scrolling was so bad that I would just click out of the slow threads.

Oh well!
