Is anyone having this problem with Facebook or their computer in general?

I'm not sure if this is a Facebook thing or an issue with my computer!

Whenever I have chat open in Facebook, and someone else sends me a message, I'll get the "pop" sound like usual. But if I'm trying to type in chat at the same time, or even if I'm typing on the DIS or anywhere else at the same time, the "pop" stops my typing, and I get that windows "ding" sound. Then I have to stop what I'm doing, go look at the chat that popped up, and go back and re-type what I was trying to type.

This is driving me insane!!! It's particularly bad if I'm in a fast chat conversation where the person is entering short line after line after line. I can't type at all while that's happening.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about??? Please help, this has never happened before.

the same thing is happening to me, i think its my mcafee virus scan enterprise thinking its a pop up, and blocking it. do u have that same software?

No, I don't use McAfee -- I use AVG free. I'll have to check the settings on it though and see if that could be it.

It's really aggravating. I really enjoy chatting with some of my friends, but it's almost unusable this way. It's not happening to them at all.
