Just wondering if anyone from the Quad Cities in Illinois DVC members??

We are not from the Quad Cities but we grew up in Clinton, IA. which is not to far away.

For those not familiar, the Quad Cities is a metropolitan area of about 1/4 million people consisting of several cities on the Mississippi river. The four largest are known as the Quad Cities and are: Davenport, IA, Bettendorf, IA, Rock Island, IL, and Moline, IL.

We currently live in Indiana, but DW and I were both born and raised in Davenport and we still have a lot of family there. We make it back a couple of times a year.

My brother DVC_John still lives there. Right now he's down at the pool at OKW.

Notice you've got snow coming through Iowa/Illinois. It's a great time to be here at OKW.

Happy to see people from the area enjoying DVC!! We are in the middle of our first snow storm this year. About 6" so far. I WISH I WERE IN FLORIDA ! It won't be long 91 days and counting.

I'm not in the Quad Cities, but I am not to far away. I am in Decatur, Illinois....the original home of the Chicago Bears. In those days they were the Decatur Staley's.

I wish I were at a DVC resort right now. We're fortunate. Even though we have had a winter storm warning since last night, we have just had a very heavy & steady rain. We are just far enough south for this storm I guess. My son has played youth hockey in Davenport several times over the years, and I have played in the casino's in Rock Island & Davenport.

Taking my daughter this afternoon to see Disney's Haunted Mansion at the local theater.

dvc_john here checking in from OKW!

Not from Illinois, but still from the Quad-Cities: Davenport on the Iowa side.

Was at BWV and EPCOT for New Year's Eve (great fireworks!),
Tampa Bay for the Outback Bowl (great game!),
and am now at OKW (great weather!).

Brother Bill (Caskbill) shortchanged us a little on population, as the metro area is about 325,000.

I grew up in the Quad Cities...just west of Davenport! I still have plenty of family in the area (was just there in September). Lived there til I was 10...when we moved to the Chicago burbs. Now I'm in Atlanta.
