So I was wondering if anyone else is starting fresh on January 1st? Starting or restarting? I kind of fell of the wagon, not bad, but not even close to watching what I am eating. REALLY enjoyed the holidays! :rotfl:

However time to get a fresh start and refocus!!!!

I'm going to do a modified calorie count and using some strategies from the Best Life plan. I am looking forward to it, but also a bit nervous! Giving up mcdonalds and chips for 100 days!:scared1:

I am!

I'm doing a modified Weight Watchers plan at home.

Good luck to you!

Yup me too. I am supposed to be maintaining and I have gained 2 lbs! :sad2:
I start back with my personal trainer on Monday though, so hopefully I can get rid of those 2 lbs before I see the weight loss doc again the end of January.

 Vija!

I am starting anew in the new year too. I have become waaaaayyyy to lax over the holidays and can feel the extra weight on my body. I will be back with WW and I will be participating in a Biggest Loser challenge at work so I hope that will help me loose these few extra pounds that have clung to my bones!

That's me :rolleyes1

I was doing great but up a couple lbs with the holidays. I am ready to get back to eating right and working out... I really do feel better when I do.

Hey everyone! Good luck to all of us. Glad I have company in this boat!:boat:

It has been so hard maintaining. Maybe next year I need to plan on losing, and then maybe I will maintain! :rotfl:

So are any of you having a "food party" before the 1st? I've had McDonalds for dinner the past couple of days, and potato chips too. I'm giving those up for 100 days. What about you?

I am! I lost 70 lbs last year and I am very worried about keeping it off.

Since Halloween and our trip to Disney it is slowly starting to creep back on and I need to put a top to it now before I regain more of it back. My GF laughed at me since it is not really much compared to what I lost but still I need to eat better for me and to be the example for my girls. (2 of my girls are heavier like I was since birth) Plus my clothes are getting TIGHT. I just spent the last few months buying all new clothes and I will not do that again.:scared:

Ban those cookies!!!

I am! I have around 90 pounds to lose and have Wished for three years on this board. And while I had 33 off at one point, my mother's death and other stress just got me completely off track. So I want to start anew! I am joining WW again on Friday and am so excited to really make this happen. Happy New Year and best of luck to all of you. We can do it!:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I am, but I may have to start on 1/3 since I'm still in Vegas and have no control of my food since I'm at my mom's house and I'm struggling with the places we have been eating at. I'm going to try really hard starting tomorrow to see if even though I'm here I can make better choices. I'm more worried about the plane trip though. I may go get some protein type bars for the flight home on Friday. Once Saturday comes, I'm planning on going grocery shopping and stalking up with good food. I may go to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's if I get the energy to drive that far.

I also just bought two new workout DVD's. Its give me something to get excited about.

Just a couple more hours until the 1st!

How does that saying go... fasten your seat belt, it is going to be a bumpy ride!:upsidedow

Well Today is the day!

Good Luck to all and always room for more people.

Let's make 2009 and Healthier Year!:hippie:

To all that are starting today- good luck to all you loser's. I'll start on Saturday!!

I am going to start today... but not too strict, but slightly. But tomorrow is my day! :thumbsup2

I've decided to start tomorrow even with the flight home. Some how I'll figure it out and count my calories. My biggest concern is lack of food from 11am PST to 8:40pm EST. But - I can do it :)

I started low carbing on the 30th! Decided I wasnt going to wait till the first. So far so good.

I am going into this with smaller goals. 10 pounds at a time. Seems more easier to reach (mentally atleast lol) than saying I want to lose 100 pounds. I am turning 35 this year, I am done having kids and now is time to work on Me.!!

I'm starting a new plan and I started at midnight on New Years. I lost about 10 pounds over the summer and have been off my plan since I went back to school. My family is going to Hawaii in June and I'll be spending the rest of my summer in LA, so my goal is to get from a size 16 to a size 12. I've started taking fun cardio classes at my local gym and also a pilates class. I've started back on WW also.

I wish everyone luck on their journeys! This board has really motivated me.

Lots of changes for me this year! I'm so glad this board is here to keep me motivated! I'm doing the biggest loser challenge and the Jan. exercise challenge. I'm going to focus on small short-term goals. I think that in the past I've often set the bar too high, got upset with my results, and quit trying. This time I'm going to just keep at it day by day. I'm so out of shape right now, I don't know how I'm going to do WDW in a couple weeks, and I want to have much better stamina by next Thanksgiving when we go again!

So how is everyone doing? I have had 2 days in with no McDonalds. I did have 1 small bag of baked chips which is ok with subway. Yesterday was a struggle, but I am so glad to see that I didn't fall and kept on going. I am going to do this... Have to find a way.
