The Purpose Driven Life?

This is a great book, it has really clarified a lot of the questions I was having about God and life in general and the whole why are we here thing. I can't always get through a chapter a day, but sometimes I think it's better that way...gives you time to think the chapter through.

Anyone else reading it?

Our church is nearing the end of the 40 day Purpose Driven Life Campaign. We're reading a chapter/day. I have a week to go. By our best estimates, we have about 2500 people involved on a weekly basis either in Sunday morning Bible study or home groups.

I've been a Christian for 33+ years, active in ministry, etc. This book has opened my eyes in a lot of ways, especially in regards to getting along with fellow-believers & finding my mission in life; i.e. learning how to serve others.

Are you reading it on your own, or are you part of a group? I'm going to give my book to my mom when I'm done.

I'm on my own...there were some ladies at my old workplace who were reading it before, but I have since relocated.

I've heard lots of good things about this book. Guess I will have to check it out now.

I learned about this book in our local jail of all places. I was visiting one of my clients and another inmate was there reading the book. She said a woman from a church group had been in and brought her a copy of the book. She highly recommended the book to me, and thought it would be life changing for her. Will you all say a little prayer that it will be life changing for her, and for all of us? Thank you.

Our church did this last year. I enjoyed the book, but I have to recommend reading _Mere Christianity_ by C.S. Lewis next. It it, hands down, the most awesome book I have ever read. The first part presents the best argument for the existence for God I am aware of, and it just gets better from there.
