Is anyone else having problems with DME reservation errors?

Just curious if this is an isolated problem with my file or system-wide (possibly related to NextGen.)

I visited WDW in January. We had a room-only reservation, made for myself and my best friend (BFF.) In December, she called Disney and added her brother and sister-in-law to the reservation. All four same room, same flight. Shortly thereafter, our DME packet arrived, and it was BFF & SIL, listed twice each. ??? We called Disney, who insisted all was right - and we were, on the room reservation. We called DME to double-check, and sure enough, BFF & SIL were each listed twice. Got it straightened out and all was well, although it was very close to trip time when we realized the error - so they had to FedEx the darned packet!

Flew down in Feb, BFF and I went again, flew in on different days (so, more complicated,) no problems. Thinking back, the room reservation was through groups (it was a convention) and DME was called directly to make the DME reservation.

We are preparing for a trip in about a month - me, BFF, and another friend (C.) Room-only reservation again. Got our DME packet in the mail today () and it's just BFF and C. Apparently I don't get to go to Disney. LOL! Checked online, and we are all three still listed in the room res. Called DME, and they were able to "find" me and add me to DME and send out another packet!

I'm guessing there is a problem porting the information from the room reservations to the DME system (like maybe only people 1 and 3 get ported over? I would have been the second person listed on those reservations.) Or does Disney just have me flagged, "No bus for you!" LOL!

Is anyone else having issues like this?

Suggestion: Ask for the name of the person you talk to on the phone and the city he is in. Write that down along with a summary of what he said.

If it turns into a he said she said about your reservation when you get down there, I'm sure the above information on the back of the envelope will get you on the bus.

Ha, I was (mostly) kidding about being flagged. I do have his name written down - on the back of the envelope actually - where I took notes from our conversation. Since I have an active room reservation, I know I can always go to the desk and get put on the bus, but since they'll be sending a new packet I'm hoping that will take care of it. Thank you for the suggestion though! If the new packet does not materialize I will definitely do that. :)

I'm finding it more peculiar that we've had this happen twice in the last few months, and no one else seems to have reported it.

I'm bumping this as I am curious if anyone else is experiencing these problems, since they are continuing for our party.

BFF, C and I are going down next month, and we have two reservations: one for arrival night and one for the rest of the week. We are supposed to have arrival service on the first res and departure service on the second. Both reservations are in my name. (Jan & April were in BFF's.)

Got two packets a week or two ago. This time, C and I have arrival tags/vouchers for the first night. I have tag/voucher for the second night. BFF has nada.

Called Disney, sorted it out, and added a friend (another C!) who is joining us midweek. Got packets tonight - four of them! - and all is correct. One packet with first night arrival and tags for all. Second packet arrival and tags for all, departures for all. Third is extra luggage tags for first night and fourth is extra tags for the rest of the week. (Note: I did not ask for extra tags, although we debated it.)

At present, we have ten arrival vouchers and 17 luggage tags for four people. Sheesh!

All is well now, and it is not a big deal in the scheme of things. But again, not all room occupants are being ported from the reservation to the DME system. Am I really the only one experiencing this??

Disney saved (conserved) a lot of money and a lot of paper and a lot of trees switching to, as a rule, sending just one yellow Magical Express tag per guest. A couple of instances of sending three or four tags to one particular guest to save time and avoid having to look up each guest's tag sending record in case of any doubt or confusion will not break the bank or break Disney or break another tree.

Use the DME toll free hot line number 866-599-0951. A few extra calls by random guests experiencing random difficulties won't break it.

OT: "Won't break it" -- Long long time ago, telephone exchanges used relays (that made clicking noises) to connect phone calls with. The phone company employees knew when the radio disk jockey announced "I'll take the third caller on the contest line" because the switchboard room would go crazy with thousands upon thousands of clicks mimicking applause in a large packed auditorium or theater.

Thanks for your reply. I understand all of that. I seem to not be communicating my question clearly.

We now have three instances of having 3-4 guests on our resort reservation, yet only two of them are "ported" into DME. I have resolved the issue each time by speaking directly with DME, but I am curious if others are having guest "porting" issues or if we have some weird corruption in our LILO files or something. (Lol!)
