Is anyone else experiencing problems at the Beach Club Villas?

NO some don't just look for a problem perhaps some of us are just cleaner than others! The comment "to just sell" is truly rude, inconsiderate and uncalled for. Slyhubby couldn't have posted a better response. We didn't ask for uncleanliness and as a matter of fact we did call upon seeing the bathroom was dirty and received no help. Yes it was easier for me to clean out the microwave and the patio of the ashtray and m&m's before my kid ate them. Not as big of a deal as the other issues. But I shouldn't have to clean a bathroom floor or sleep in a dirty bed.

When we were sold DVC there was nothing in the presentation or contract about not having clean rooms. We have stayed at the CR several times and we have NEVER had a dirty room or complained about a thing. So there goes your theory that some of us just look for problems. If we all have that ignorant attitude of hey "just sell if you don't like it" than all the properties will go down the tubes. Perhaps that is ok in your book for your investment but it certainly isn't ok in ours.

I would just like to add that we love the theme parks as much as anyone else but unclean, unkept resorts are UNACCEPTABLE to us and really should be to every other investor as well. Yes we will sell if this continues because we can still gain access to the parks and stay on property at a CLEAN, KEPT hotel that management cares about instead of dealing with this for the next 39 years. Just think if this is happening now at a 1 year old building what will happen in another 10 or 20 years! We do have the right to be concerned and inquire because we pay monthly maintenance $. As previously stated we have contacted management, housekeeping, the executive office and our DVC sales rep. So we are not just all talk or board complainers, we have tried to have these problems addressed and solved. However, many just have the attitude that this doesn't happen at the DVC resorts and it was a one time error or we are just complainers. Can't be a one time error if it is happening over and over again.

So if anyone wants to go ahead and make nasty comments/judgements when you weren't there and didn't see the mess, than go ahead. I just wonder if it will be ok when it happens to you and when you report it how you will feel when you are blown off or made to feel like a complainer. I bet THEN it will not be ok and an issue. If everyone tried to walk in another's shoes more often perhaps the world would be a better place......

did you not say you would sell if it did not get better then the CB. please please please please please please please please plesase please please .sell sell sell seelll sell...thanks dave..ps OF course it cant be a FLUKE , is that a fish... Oh wait sorry you were complaining here .. sorry I forgot....dave . been a member for 10 years not one thing has erked me so much ....

nydizfan, I guess you think you are funny...you are most certainly not at all......

No problems for us, but I am amazed in a years time how abused the rooms are.

I truely do wonder what some members are doing to these rooms.

No wonder dues go up. And please don't everyone say it is the guests who pay cash that abuse the rooms. I have friends that work at the resort and you would not believe what they find after members have checked out.

They are already having to replace furniture to a hotel just over a year old.

Perhaps I shouldn't have used the word fluke so I will go back and edit to replace the word with another. Go back and reread the post Dave. However since we are correcting one another, perhaps you need glasses, typing lessons or both. I did not say CB I said CR which everytime has been cleaner than the DVC. Good for you that nothing has ever happened, but WHEN it does remember it will only be in your mind and that since you looked for a problem you will be nothing but a complainer. Or maybe it will never happen to you, but that could go back to putting the glasses on and having a correct view of the situation or what was written. Like I posted before, uncalled for. I will not post on this again as responses like these aren't worth the time. Perhaps you think you are being funny or that is your opinion which everyone is entitled to. Either way to question another person's experiences as valid or not is just plain rude. In my original post I didn't question anyone that said they had a wonderful time and that everything was just as they expected it to be. Attitudes like yours will definately make certain that the quality of services at the DVC will continue to be hit or miss or just plain plummet.

Enough said on this subject.

Thats so sad, I know when I am there I keep just as clean as I keep my home (immaculately so) because I just am not comfortable any other way.

My Feb. visit I had to clean it, because I was afraid to complain. The tiled floors were dirty, and so was the shower (moldy).

I guess some people probably are not very clean at home, and that they are just comfortable that way.

I still feel that it is the responsibility of housekeeping , no matter how sloppy other guests are , to restore the room to sparkeling clean, especially the shower tub and toiloit.

I think BCV is heaven on earth, I would never think of selling for reasons that can be simply corrected.

I deffinately think they need get housekeeping staff that really want to work. Matter of fact, when I retire, I would love to work at wdw resort as a part time mousekeeper, what pride I would take!!

I have taken 3 trips to BCV & had 4 different studios since it opened. We never had a problem that wasn't taken care of immediately. Once we were missing a sink stopper and another time the bathroom faucet leaked. Room has always been clean even the sheets on the sofa bed. We love it there!

Both times I visited BCV the studio section did not have any cleanliness issues, matter of fact the studio portion was always in great shape.

In the master bath was the brunt of the cleanliness problem, also a toddlers pajamas was under the bed in the master br.

I will be going there soon , and this time if there are any issues I am going to contact head of housekeeping right away.

Wow...first tiem I read this thread. What a shame cause it si so new, too! ;( (Even worse I own there!) I woudl eb embarrassed to atek friends or family along and walk into a dirty bathroom in our room! Wouldn't they think I'm stupid for buying!?!
Really, that is oen of the reasons I love WDW htoels. With my Dad working for Holiday Inn and I alwauys staying at them as a kid, WDW resorts always seemed to go the extra mile.
My last two trips at AKl the place was spotless.
I'd be bummed to go home to BCV and see floors that neeed to be vacummed still or mold in the shower! I except a clean room when I arrive.
A matter of fact I think it is WDW as a whole. Just a few weeks ago the bathroom next to Morocco was the grossest thing I had ever seen. Maybe 15 stalls? None had TP, several were clogged, no paper towls and trash overflowing out of the trash cans and all over the floor. Mirir looked liek ti ahdn't been cleaned in weeks. Absoluetly the most digusting thing I've ever seen. Really i need to email them. Worse than a highway roadstop bathroom. All my Mom coudl say was how badly WDW was going down...

To bad DVC doesn't make the parties involved in damaging the property responsible for repairing or replacing items that are damaged. If you rent condo's from most other places they require a security deposit that they gladly refund once the room has been checked for damages/missing items....would this be such a bad idea to at least cover the costs of repair/replacement?

As far as lack of cleanliness...there is no excuse for the rooms to not be completely cleaned once someone has checked out. This should include changing of all linens (including bedcovers) and checking in and under all furnishings.

Before the BCV we stayed at the BC and forgot one of my children's things when we checked out...I called BC when I got home and they had found it when they were cleaning and were getting ready to send it to me. Maybe the mousekeeping staff at BCV should take lessons from mousekeeping at BC. We never had cleanliness problems (or staff attitude issues) when staying at the BC.

2 weeks til check-in. I hope things have inproved in 6 months since our last trip.:Pinkbounc
