Is anyone cruising with me on the August 27th 2011 Meditteranean Cruise? Hellooooo?

Welcome to all the new cruisers. I will put in a push for your children to look at the kids/teens thread for our cruise. My boys think it is fun to chat to the other kids.

I have a question about the FE. When do we "cut off" so we know final numbers? Not trying to rush a cut off, just trying to plan my purchasing/crafting timeframe.

We are only booking one DCL excursion but I am getting annxios about it being booked out before we can book (another three weeks!). If anyone that has earlier booking privilages is playing on the DCL website, is it possible to check whether there is still availabilty for the the Rome "Vatican City, the Coliseum and Catacombs" excusion?

I'll check for the excursion right now and report back.

Also, I think setting a cut off date for FEs makes sense. I would say August 1 at the laest since many people are travelling for some time before the cruise as well.

Hi, another Yorkshire family! We are from Hull on the east coast. Where are you from? We are so looking forward to get involved with FE but also don't want to rock the boat (pun intended). We will gladly buy/make as many FE gifts as needed and will just fit in with whatever happens. We want to enjoy every aspect of Disney Cruising and meeting other like minded people. We have 2 cabins but will only be using one for FE purposes (3 kids, DS 8, DD 6 and DS 3).

How many people are on the list? Do you just take it from the Aug27 website (brilliant by the way). We are starting to make things this weekend.

I just went to the fabric store and bought supplies to make my FE! I'm super excited about this. I was also scoping out FE gifties to buy. Would anyone staying at the AC Diplomatic like to meet for an adult beverage on Friday night B4 the cruise? I would love to start meeting fellow cruisers!
And for what it's worth since I've never done the FE thing, it sounds nicer to include everyone instead of splitting. But, it could also get very overwhelming. So, I'm fine with the group concensus.

Hello fellow Cruise mates!! My husband and I will be on this cruise as well and just wanted to say hello! This is our first time to Europe and our 2nd Disney Cruise. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversay after promising we would do a 7 day Disney Cruise during our Honeymoon on the Wonder back in 2001 for 3 days! This is our "dream" trip before we have kids, so hopefully it will be unforgetable! Does anyone know what the dinner rotation is supposed to be? I would like to book Palo but don't want to miss out on certain restaurants and I am not sure how to tell what night we are scheduled to do Animators etc.... Thank you!!

Lol. Small world eh! We are from Hull (all born there) but we reside in a lovely little village called Hollym. Are you staying in Barcelona before the trip? Also, how are you getting there? We are flying KLM from humberside to Barcelona via Amsterdam. Love swan land, very posh. Lol

Dinners are available every night--but not a lot of time slots are open (nothing later than 7:00 on any night).

yes. They also hold back some time for onboard bookings. Your best bet, if you do not get what you want online is to go straight to Rockin Bar D after boarding. There will be a line just for Palo. Have first and second choices ready and also know what you are okay being waitlisted for. Also, if you can book ANY dinner, do--then when you go to Rockn' Bar D you can explain you have a dinner booked for 6:00 on Tuesday but you were really hoping to push that back to 8:00 or whatnot--that seems to give you a little better chance.

We are flying Monarch from Manchester direct to Barcelona (didn't get a bad price really - £410 for the 3 of us!!). We are staying in Barcelona 2 nights before the cruise but fly back on the Sunday we dock at just after 1pm.

We love Swanland too!! You'll know its us though *** we speak very broad 'ull!!!! Is this your first cruise?

I had a stop over at the Philadelphia airport today and there was a large group checking the departure board for their flight to Barcelona tonight, ended up that they were heading there to board the Magic. Can't wait for it to be our turn.
