Is anyone cruising with me on the August 27th 2011 Meditteranean Cruise? Hellooooo?

anyone ever used vistastay to book rooms for barcelona?

They are cheaper then novotel barcelona city price direct

Thank you for explaining it all to me, really appreciate it.

When you did on line check in, did it give you a time to turn up at port or can you just turn up what time you want, so for example we want to get there early to get on board ASAP as our first time?

Thanks again

On the online forms you confirm all of your details then it asks you about your travel arrangements (they want flight numbers, times etc) then it want details of how you are paying your onboard account, so if you are using a credit card you register it now. Then I think it went onto port times. You choose from half hour periods, the earliest availabilty was 10.30 til 11.00am. I think I chose 11.00 - 11.30. I didn't pay attention to what the latest times were. If it works like it has been in port canaveral lately you can show up earlier than the time you have chosen but you may be given a later boarding card. It will probably be best to ask when the early med cruises get back so we can found out procedure in Barcelona port.

I just booked Palo for our sea day ( day 6) for 7:00p! Really happy I got something on sea day. Is that our semi-formal night?

Just Booked our 2 excursions that we wanted with Disney. The other 3 we are doing on our own. Was going to book Palo's for sea day, but then decided to skip the 20 per person since usually sea day is Captain's Night (formal) which also means all you can eat Lobster.

Curious? Does everyone get served lobster in all of the restaraunts that night? Well I will just have to ask our server to bring some out! :) My husband is not big on it so that's good.

This is my 3rd Disney cruise and I've not heard of all you can eat Lobster night! But I like it!! My DH can't eat shellfish so more lobster for me. :rotfl:

As far as we know the formal night is the Sunday and the sea day is semi-formal. So if there is some lobster on that menu you won't miss out by booking Palo on the sea day. But is lobster night def formal night? I'm sure on our last cruise we missed it and the only dinner we didn't go to was semi formal. Again we will prob have to wait until the first 7 night med cruisers come back to find out for sure.

I just booked my shore excursions and Palo's! I was able to confirm everything i wanted! So excited. I did not book anything for Palma. I have no idea what to do for this stop. Any suggestions from anyone who has been there? DH and I are into art/antiques/history. I'm into shopping. :)

My sister and her husband went to Marjorca on their honeymoon. They told me that Palma is a resort city with hotels and beaches. They suggested taking a tour of the Caves on the other side of the island. I think we may follow their suggestion. Hope this helps!

When we did Panama Canal Cruise with Disney we ordered extra plates of lobster and they kept bringing them to our table. There was 6 of us and they would just set them in the middle so whoever was ready for the next could keep going. Maybe our servers liked us =)

Somewhere around page 40, I think, someone posted that they had called DCL and gotten:
Formal night is on the 2nd night
Pirate night is on the 5th night
Semi formal night is on the 6th night.

So, the sea day should be the semi-formal night.

Question: does anyone have suggestions on how to pre-arrange transportation post-cruise from the port back to Barcelona?

I'm guessing that it is NOT a good idea to simply hope for an available taxi being available...

You can get the disney transportation at $30 per person, alot of money but worth it if have early flight or do not want the hassle of finding a taxi

If you didnt book your hotel using Disney they will not provide you with the transportation. I booked at a recommended Disney hotel and tried to call to book pre and post cruise transportation a few months ago and they denied me. It was the first time I remember Disney ever turning down money.

The taxi line at disembarkation in Barcelona is very efficient and the wait is minimal if at all.

We have Disney transportation from the AC Diplomatic to the port and from the port to the airport. We did not book the hotel with Disney as it was $200 cheaper booking with the hotel online directly.

When we started this Disney had a a trip into Rome by train and had in are saved activies but when we went to schedule it did not show. Does anybody know if they canncelled it?

I think lobster is usually on semi formal night (Captain's Gala). I am allergic to shellfish so I tend to not pay a lot of attention. I'll ask David and Marika is they remember (they love lobster).

Wonder why they did it for you and wouldn't for me? How long ago did you book that? I tried back in January... I will be giving them a ring tomorrow to find out why I was denied and someone else got it. I hope they changed their procedures since I called five months ago, because it would make it a lot easier for us.

Are you paying for the cruise with Disney Vacation Club Points? I think that might have had something to do with why they wouldn't do it.

That is weird because I have asked a few times and they always said yes

If I remember rightly about the hotel to port, you had to meet them at a specific point.

On the port to airport there did not seem to be any problems.

Not booked yet as still deciding re hotel but probably will book port to airport as have to go home day we disembark
