Is anyone cruising with me on the August 27th 2011 Meditteranean Cruise? Hellooooo?

Hi again. Wonder if you can help. We are a family of 5 with two 11b cabins. We also have two booking refs. How does this work when booking checkin times and excursions? Do we have to do it twice or is there a way to do both at the same time?

When I look at our bookings via the Disney site I have to switch between them by pit in the number.

Also, we have to wait until June 13th but can we book the Disney transport from port to airport now or do we have to wait?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated fellow cruisers.

So long as your reservations are linked together it will allow you to sign in for only one reservation, but will ask you when you book excursions/Palo/etc who in your party you are booking for and it will give you ALL the names in your group (not just in your cabin).
It really works pretty well:goodvibes

Wonder why they did it for you and wouldn't for me? How long ago did you book that? I tried back in January... I will be giving them a ring tomorrow to find out why I was denied and someone else got it. I hope they changed their procedures since I called five months ago, because it would make it a lot easier for us.

Are you paying for the cruise with Disney Vacation Club Points? I think that might have had something to do with why they wouldn't do it.

I booked last May (2010) but I think I only added the transfers in August. We paid for the cruise ourselves - not DVC points so perhaps that is the difference.

When we started this Disney had a a trip into Rome by train and had in are saved activies but when we went to schedule it did not show. Does anybody know if they canncelled it?

Jumping bact to Eternal Rome is by train and one of the Vatican ones is.

Thanks. Should the reservations be linked automatically or do I have to call them to link them?

So I called disney today and they said they can't do airport transfers because I didnt book using them but they will offer the port transfers since I am staying at one of the hotels they recommended. So I got 1/2 of my transfers taken care of. Now I will just take a taxi to and from the airport. It is so much easier to use Disney Transfers, but Oh Well I will take what I can get and I am thankful at least the cruise ones are taken care of, because it is so nice to just get out of bed in the morning and drop your luggage off in the lobby for the bus and hop aboard. Can't wait for this trip!!! It is coming up so quickly. =)

Well, I am glad you got at least the port transfers taken care of:thumbsup2

We booked through Dreams. I'll give them an e mail. Thanks.

You're welcome. Hopefully they have already linked everything up (that is how you will end up dining all together too):goodvibes

Villefranche....so I decided to do one Disney excursion. It's the adult only Monaco & Monte Carlo tour. Anyone else book it? I like that it starts at 1:00p so we can enjoy the morning!:cool1:

I saw the one with Eze. That one includes lunch. I'll have to look at that Palma one! Is that the caves one? If so can't do caves!:(

Calling on Hadley..... we have a mutual friend! I can't wait to talk to you about her!!:wizard:

In Case anyone wants to purchase Euros before hand I found some great information on the Wells Fargo site https://www.foreignexchangeservices.com/stores/locator.html?partnerid=FES and depending where you live you might even be able to purchase them in person. When I called today the girl said the rate has changed between 1.4 and 1.7 so I am going to keep an eye on the conversion rate. Also, I know that our hotel has a desk that does it but I am not sure what the fees are. At Wells Fargo she said that since I don't have a bank account there it would be $5.00.

Does anyone know if the ship will sell Euros and what the transaction fee would be? I know on US based cruises you could always purchase dollars onboard.

Last year I was able to buy Euros with Canadian dollars and the rate I think was very similar to what I was charged on my credit card. You do have to have cash though you cannot charge it to your room and then pay with a credit card.

I find with banks you really have to inquire about fees and minimums. For example Suntrust Bank wants a minimum of 200 E to buy back any leftovers. They have a $10 fee to purchase. PNC has no fees or minimums. What are the parameters for Wells Fargo?

Our fish extender (by Grady'smommy) arrived today! What fun. We went with a pirate theme and it looks great. I am surprised how small it is but I assume that it is the normal size. I have it hanging on the back door so the boys see it when they walk in. Only about another week till I can book my Rome excursion too. I am getting excited...
