Hey is anybody going to WDW for xmas vacation trying to fig out what to bring hows the weather gonna be anybody have any tips we are leaving the 15th of dec but our tickets start the 18th :wave2:

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

You'll have to pack everything you own! December weather in Orlando is completely unpredictable. You could see some days in the 80s and you might also see some days in the 50s with mornings near freezing.

But I'm sure it will feel warmer than Michigan!

We'll be there! We are at AKL Concierge's December 14-18th. We have Sunrise Safari planned for one morning and MVMCP for the 15th.

The parks won't be too bad but WoD will be very crowded. It's an extra CM discount weekend.

What is Mvmcp stand for i see it everywhere. Lol i guess i would pack some jeans maybe a pair of shorts or too but leaving from MI it would be so much warmer than -30below :cold:

MVMCP= Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Weather is a toss-up - as said earlier. We usually are in shorts and a long-sleeve shirt in mid-December. It usually doesn't get cold until January (cold is relative... 40's means cold to me.) :cold: If you are planning on being in the parks all day walking, you would probably be fine in light jeans, capris, or even shorts. I would take a couple pair of jeans and a sweatshirt or two just in case. All the resorts have washers and dryers if needed. And you can always pick up a shirt or sweatshirt to use and have as a souvenir. I try to conveniently "forget" my sweatshirt whenever possible and have to buy a new Disney one. Hope that helps... you should also check the weather when it gets closer as cold snaps occasionally do come early. www.local6.com and www.wftv.com are two orlando stations that are pretty accurate on the weather. Have a great time!!! We'll be there for Christmas Day. :teeth:

Coming from CT I know how you feel about anything being better than -30. We are going to pack layers, shorts, jeans, tees, long sleeve tees, sweatshirts and light weight jackets. If your going to be in the parks all day you can put sweatshirts and jackets in a locker to retrieve later.

I just made our ADR's(advanced dining reservations) today for our first 10 days. Now it feels like it's getting closer! We are going to be there from Dec 14-28 at POR and doing MVMCP on the 15th.

Go to Home Depot and get some alien green mickey head paint chips. Make tags out of them and hang them on your bag or lanyard. We use these so other DIS'ers know how to spot each other.

Have a great trip, hope to see you there!

We'll be there Dec. 17th-26th. This is a birthday present for me and a Christmas present for my family. We are going to MVMCP on the 18th and my birthday is on the 23rd.

:thewave: We have the 10day tickets too from the 18-28. Thanks for the advice now i know how to dress everyone from my soon to be 6 month old and 2 yr old to my hubby some jeans and sweatshirts should do nicely. We are so excited about going. LOL i'm leaving the snow behind for some sunshine.
