I'm curious to know why you are so interested in the fame of other dis members...
But what really counts as fame in one's eyes may not in another. I'm really really involved in Girl Scouts in my community- I get more people coming up to me and calling me by name that I swear I have never seen before in my life- now I'm not famous- and it doesn't get me much except every now and then someone lets me cut in line- lol- and a few "knock you down hugs" from little girls which can be a good and bad thing lol
I've been in the newspaper a bunch- written a few of my own articles and also been interviewed. Have been on our local news probably about 20-30 times mostly for GS but also for the hospital I worked for- I have little or no fear of public speaking so I did a lot of informational talks on a variety of subjects which usually made me the "local expert" (yeah right) on different things which would get me on the news when they needed a filler.
One of my best friend's ex-husband is a pulitzer prize winner- back in the 90's- She got to go to an inaugriation ball and has met many famous people that way- and her ex was actually an answer to a crossword puzzle I once did
Brother-in-law was in a horrible movie with Faye Dunaway- (she played a professional woman who picked him up on the street)- her originally had a speaking role but they cut it- so now all you see is him from the side- we didn't watch of that movie past the scene he was in- because it was really bad lol
Oldest DD was on a store sign (nationally) for
Walmart when she was a baby
I have a bunch of friends who were extras in movies shot locally- one did several movies with horses involved- she was also supposed to be in olympics was supposed to make the team in 86 I think but her horse got out and got hit by a car which lost her her spot too
My whole family was in a PBS show on Louisiana- and I'm so proud that my oldest son can forever be remember as the boy hitting a tree- lol
My kids and husband were in a commercial for our local hospital (you can see them all of about 1/2 a second- lol), I've been on telethons, radio shows, won a really hard trivia question just the other day on the radio- lol
And I even got thrown out of back stage at a Prince Concert in the 80's but not til after meeting Sheila E and Morris Day and the Time- lol- someone thought we were famous enough to let us back stage lol-
But no I'm not famous- I have friends who have had experiences and a few that I have shared- like I said fame is a relative term- and not one easily defined- and it is a little scary that the original poster keeps asking about famous people, testers, and staff all the time- if someone did come out and say they were say... Hillary Duff or something- what would you do? Stalk them?
And like Moussedude mentioned if you are talking famous in terms of the game- you may get a few more infamous members of DIS than "famous" ones- lol
Okay- to answer your question- I am the most important person in the room right now- of course I'm the only person in the room so that title comes by default there- does that make me famous enough?
