Is All Day Dining worth the money?

I went on Seaworld website and they give you the menu items at their restaurants but no prices. I wanted to see how much the entrees cost, so we could calculate if the all day dining is worth purchasing. Anyone know how I could find out the prices of entrees? Linda

Most entrees, sandwiches, wraps are around $7.50-$10, and the most common price seemed to be $7.99 or $8 and change. They usually include a side item such as fruit, french fries, potato salad, etc. The exception would be Voyagers Restaurant where the BBQ chicken and rib dinners are around $10-14. Additional side items and desserts are usually around $2.75-$4. I'm less sure about the price of soda, but I recall it being about $3 for a regular size.

If you plan on spending from park open until park close at Seaworld, then yes its worth it.

We did the all day dining in December and plan to do it again in April. You can easily get your money out of it, especially ifyou have picky eaters who might take something they don't like, and then they can run back and pick out something else.

However, the only two reasons I hesistate to recommend it:

1. There are also many stands along the paths at Sea World. They sell everything from ice cream/slushies and and 12 oz soda bottles to chex mix and cotton candy. My kids constantly wanted quick drinks and snacks for which you can't use your dining pass. And I don't like 'wasting' more money, so I'd tell them if they wanted something more we'd have to go back to one of the dining pass places for a drink or snack -which took time. Finally I gave in and bought chips and a pop to watch one of the shows but I grumbled about it. :) So as long as you are prepared to spend a few more bucks or can say 'no' better than I can.

2. The lines. The lines at the dining pass establishments are hit or miss, sometimes you can walk right up and sometimes you have to wait a long time. And there is no line cutting allowed, or even possible, to just grab a soda refill or anything like that, you have to wait through the whole line again. This also was time consuming. I have to say the cashiers were great about just waving your thru though if you held up your wrist to show your arm band, never had to stand in a long cashiering line.

So just know the pros and cons.

We liked it but the plan is lacking in "snacks" no ice cream no popcorn and you need to wait in a long line for a drink. But if you plan on having lunch and dinner it is definitely a good deal.

We did this last august and it was well worth it. Although the food is mediocre at best the free drinks more than pay for it. I would just reccomend trying to eat "off time" So that you do not have to wait in the long lines. We were easily able to pop in and grab waters for each of us quickly.

I agree with this. I think you can get your moneys worth - but at the cost of time. Out first trip through was simple (although we were starving. We were told breakfast was included but the one included restaurant that offered breakfast was under refurb and no other options were offered!) - We walked through quickly because there was no line, but later in the day it was a nightmare just to get water! When we went in we had to stand on line with everybody getting a meal. Even if we only wanted a bottle of water. Then we had to stand on line for check out even though they only looked at our wristbands and waved us on. There were no times that we checked between 1:30 am and 4:30 pm that there weren't lines at the places we were considering. Also - you will be trekking back to the allowable places. I would recoomend that when you get your meals. When you are done and before you leave the restaurant send people back through to get water and fruit (yummy strawberries!) to take with you. Oh - also - everybody has to stand on line.

Totally off topic.....Where I live we stand "in line." I always get a chuckle when I hear people say they are "on line," as though they are standing on an internet connection. It's just one of those funny regionalisms about American English I guess.

I as debating this when we went in December. We decided against it and packed our lunches and brought in water bottles. We got dinner there but we still "saved" more than we would have if we got the plan.

:lmao:
