Is Afternoon tea for adults gone from the Grand Floridian?

Hi All!

Last time we were at WDW (November 1999) there was an Afternoon Tea offered at the Grand Floridian for adults and children.

I suspect this is no longer available because I only see mention of a tea for children (and parents are encouraged to go shop or spa or whatever while their child does the tea).

Anybody know if an adult tea is available anywhere on Disney property? My husband and I love afternoon tea and were looking forward to this for our December 2006 trip, but I think we may be out of luck :(

Thanks!

Tracey

I had it last year. Deb's site still shows the regular menu so I have to assume that nothings changed. I hope so too because I want to go when I'm there in April.

I went this past June and it was more packed than it ever has been. I don't think they will be doing away with this one.

the afternoon tea was still there in october & as delicious as ever!

Here is the menu for the daily Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian. This has not (and probably will not) been discontinues. Often it is difficult to get in. It runs from 2:00 to 6:00.

There is the Perfectly Princess' Tea Party but that starts at 10:30 and runs until noon.

There is no conflict.

Thanks for all your responses! I'm so happy to hear the afternoon tea is still available!

The reason I thought it was no longer available was because I couldn't find it on the disney.com website in the dining section nor in The Unofficial Guide to DisneyWorld book. Glad I checked here because ya'll know better than a book published just once a year and who knows how often the dining section of the disney.com website is updated.

Can't wait to go!

Thanks again,
Tracey :yay:

This sounds like fun. I am going to check into it and see if my husband would like to try it out.

It isn't strictly a "kids" thing is it?

We always get the Buckingham Tea. It is plenty of food with the assorted sandwiches, scones and pastries. You may also get strawberries and whipped cream instead of pastries. It is under $20.

We just did it a few weeks back - it's wonderful, I'd do it every day if I could! The trifle was amazing!

We did this last March and really enjoyed it! :Pinkbounc We also have an ADR for this again this March (we are staying at the GF, and are doing this our 1rst day)! :rotfl: We really enjoyed it! :cheer2: We (dh and I) had the Buckingham and ds had the Mrs. Potts! :wizard: It was great! :cheer2:
