Is a weekend trip worth it?

So DH and I had been planning on taking a trip to Vegas for my b-day in January. Then we realized we probably won't get to do Disney again until 2009 with the kids, and I have been seriously thinking about doing a weekend trip to Disney in January instead.

So, have any of you been to WDW for just a weekend? If I can work it, we could fly in Friday morning and fly out Sunday night, so we would have 2 1/2 days in the park. Do you guys think it's worth it? Or should I just wait til 2009 for our long trip?

I think you can have a great fun weekend at WDW.With a little planning you can make it very special visit.A great meal and maybe a behind the scenes tour or a Wishes cruise.

I decided that we are definitely doing it! A birthday at WDW sounds so much better than Vegas!
I think we might stay at Wilderness Lodge and look into a tour, as per danny1649's suggestion. I'm so excited!!!!!
