Is a touring plan really necessary?

I know in the US, the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney World park, it is suggested to have a touring plan ready in order to gain the maximum amount of time in those two parks. But in Paris, do we really need such an elaborate touring plan? Is it necessary to have a touring plan? I know the number of attractions at DLP is much less than DL or WDW, but if any of you veterans can help assist me with this question that would be great! Thanks again.

I would say it depends on the amount of time you're going to have at the resort. We usually do 4 nights / 5 days and have never had a touring plan for the trip and always manage to see and do pretty much everything we want to although we do have quite a relaxed attitude to visiting DLRP and don't need to "do" all the rides etc, enjoying plenty of time ambling around the park itself is good

For any longer than a 1night/2day stay at DLP, you don't need a touring plan. If you've been to WDW, you will be surprised how compact and nearby everything at DLP is to each other :goodvibes. Everything, even the furthest away onsite hotel, is less than 20 minutes walk from the main park (the Studios park is less than 5 minutes away, as is the Village area, with the shuttle buses and train station).

I personally never plan, I like to go with the flow. I may plan where we are eating the day before but that is as far as I plan:goodvibes

If you are traveling at a peak time and you only have a couple of days you may, otherwise not really
